Randomly tried this just now and it was so good! It was like a sweet potato pie and croissant mixed together. Will definitely be back for another one.

So good that you essentially can't eat other egg tarts anymore because it is so much better than anything else you've ever had.

First of all, the sister of the owner was there. And she was the kindest person I have encountered in NYC.Also the egg tart was so good!It is like a sports bar vibe, so it does not look like a café.4 dollars for egg tart can be bit expensive but hey it is cheaper than to go to Lisbon.

Neat spot in the Chelsea Market to get a quick snack. Both the traditional and dark chocolate pasteis were great; would recommend.

This rating is based on my experience from winter market in Bryant Park. They serve a very good and tasty custard tart. I had it when it was fresh out from the oven( I believe it was frozen and reheated). For me, the sweetness was perfect with the hint of cinnamon sprinkle on top. the staff was very lovely. I definitely will go to their real cafe in town next time I visit NYC and try it freshly baked out of the oven.

Decent enough for a nice snack but they keep the tarts out so they lose their zest when they reach room temperature.

Delighted to say that the Portuguese custard tarts I had are the best I’ve ever eaten (and believe me I’ve had a few!). I don’t say this easily as I’ve been to Portugal and had them out there so well done to you - these are superb!
Suzette was amazing. She had a great big smile and was very welcoming. The pastel de natas were exquisite and I suggest the chocolate also if you’re a fan. I urge you to check them out. I will be coming back for sure!

Classic egg tart is worth to try!1 for 4$. If u are in this area, just try.
Heard this was an authentic Portuguese spot so wanted to check it out. They don’t let you go in the store due to an ongoing lawsuit which is bizarre but all good. The empanada type pastry was nicely done. They also had another beef pie with a flaky crust which had a different name. I wasn’t too impressed with the place. The meat pastries were good but not spectacular. Maybe they have other stuff that is better. 3 stars.
