I walked in at 5:04, and while the Mott Street location is open till 6 pm, they had broken down the smoothie bar and only refrigerator items were available. The music was playing LOUD right next to the ordering area. Nothing was broken (I asked) and there were at least two staff there but they wouldn’t make smoothies or açaí bowls.
I typically do not leave a low review on struggling small businesses but I had to. I can agree with most of the low rated reviews here. The worker really didn’t want to be there and was not the most friendly and warm or helpful person assisting us to make an order. Yes it was overpriced that’s NYC but the açaí bowl and smoothie were the worst we ever had. Kind of hard to mess up. My wife struggled to eat the bowl and I forced myself to try to consume the smoothie giving up after having 1/8 of it. Also the place had a strange smell and a super awkward layout. The pictures people posted do not reflect the interior or the quality of the items you will get.

They seemed to have changed menus ..food quality has gone down..
Acai they use seems to have changed
No more Banana n strawberry topping in the almond butter bowl and no option to add it either
I really should've asked the name of the man who's there on Monday afternoon because he is beyond incredibly helpful and kind. That makes me want to shop at this location. Every chance I get.
I’ve been going to juice press since the day it began. Im glad they still exist despite some of the changes to hardcore organic pure food they made them selves out of. I go everyday to get my favorite smoothie “Blue Magic”. Everyone there is nice but one guy goes out of his way to make every visit special. Damone lights up the room and truly makes every smoothie “with love”! If they had this guy as the face of every location and added more seating the place would have a new lease on life.

Yea it’s super overpriced, but the prices are also very standard for manhattan. Most of the employees are pretty rude but Damone (spelling?) is so nice. He gave me suggestions on what to order and was so so friendly.

My wife and I wanted a green smoothie. We were shocked when the worker in the front rang up the smoothie and it was $12. We took one and it wasn’t anything special just a normal smoothie but charging premium upscale prices for what? At the very least you would think the expensive smoothies came with good customer service. Nope. The little boy in the front was super rude to my wife and I, had an attitude with us when I wanted to cancel from 2 smoothies to 1. I’ll never be going back here, and anyone reading go safe your money and find a better product with better customer service. The owner really has to get it in order, either care for a better product, or hire better workers who actually care. I would not be surprised if this location closes down in a year or 2. Sad, they can’t seem to take advantage of being in a prime location in Manhattan.

Disgusting service. Girls working here give you nothing but a disgusting attitude. They have no problem talking down to customers after messing up orders.

Very laid back. I'm hard of hearing. I had to ask the cashier to speak up a few times. He finally did. Eclectic assortment of groceries. Everything is focused on reusable and renewable.

I see multiple one star reviews mentioning inconsistent quality of smoothies and bowls. Please do not blame the workers. JP pays their low level staff fast food worker wages, no benefits. They run their operation like a regional fast food chain, while at the same time claiming to be some sort of boutique life style brand that charges $10 for a juice. There is an incongruence to me with the "high standards" they claim to hold their teams to, with the standards they hold themselves to when it comes to providing their workers a livable wage and benefits. If you want your workers to hold themselves to the "high standards of Juice Press" and not feel like minimum wage fast food workers, compensate them accordingly.

Bought two smoothies for 28 dollars and were the worst smoothies I have ever had
Great smoothie but it was 12 dollars
Loveddd the Green Mint smoothie! It's super thick, and tasted kind of like a milkshake. Two of us shared a large and it was very filling. They also have a small store with healthy to-go snacks
I like this place a lot and my favorite smoothie is the one with mango and passion fruit ?
It was just okay. Nothing spectacular. Service was friendly but the smoothie was subpar
