The brisket melt and cheesecake were the best I’ve had. We had a party of 7 and they did a great job. Everyone’s food was delicious and service was great.

The portions are generous. Ordered soup and sandwiches. Flavors are ok. Don’t order the fries. Dry and flavorless. The atmosphere and music are great. The menu is overwhelming With many selections. The service wait time felt long. $120 for party of 4, not including tip. Jan 2026.

Great food but much too crowded. There was no wait for a table, however the place was packed. Our server was great but she had so many tables to take care of that we rarely saw her. Our concensus was that the plain cheesecake is the best one.

Wanted to try famous nyc cheesecakes. Got red velvet cheesecake and plain cheesecake. Tastes like machine processed cake. At least was not very sweet but I was expecting something way more better.

Everything else was good, except for the super salty pork bacon.

Cute little place with good food. Serving size was large enough we were able to split an omelet. Would not recommend the grits though.

Junior’s was a no-brainer on my return trip to the Big Apple. I brought along friends who were first-time New York visitors, and if you’re going to introduce someone to NYC food culture, this is perfect addition.
Now don’t get me wrong — the food is solid, classic, comforting diner fare done right. But let’s be honest…
WE CAME FOR THE CHEESECAKE! 😅
And it did not disappoint. Rich, impossibly creamy, perfectly dense without being heavy — the kind of cheesecake that reminds you why Junior’s is legendary in the first place. Every bite felt like a New York rite of passage.
Pair that with good coffee, a warm, bustling atmosphere, and that unmistakable sense of history, and you’ve got an experience that still earns its reputation. Junior’s isn’t chasing trends... it's the standard.
If you’re visiting NYC for the first time (or the tenth), this stop is mandatory. Come hungry, stay happy, leave full… and yes, absolutely order the cheesecake.
