Good food but DEFINITELY NOT worth the price. Any casual Indian restaurant has similar food for less than half the price. You have to get a 3+ course menu. We got the 3-course option and only drank tap water, and our bill was $250 USD.

I recently dined at Junoon for lunch and had a mixed experience.
Food: The dishes were beautifully presented, and some flavors were impressive. However, a few items fell flat in terms of seasoning, which was disappointing given the restaurant's reputation.
Service: The service was decent, though our server seemed to be overwhelmed and forgetful at times. It took longer than expected to receive our drinks, which affected the meal's flow.
Atmosphere: The ambiance was lovely, featuring elegant decor that creates a nice dining environment. It’s perfect for a casual lunch or a more special occasion.
Overall, while Junoon has potential, improvements in both food consistency and service would enhance the experience. I might consider returning, but I'd like to see some changes first.

Michelin-starred Indian restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. We came here for dinner and enjoyed the special fixed menu option for Valentine’s Day.
Course #1 (Starter): three tiny handheld bites. The first was an interpretation of Pani Puri, the second was a Saag Rota with Truffles and the third was Uthappam topped with a seaweed caviar.
Course #2 (Appetizer): we got the Smoked Chicken Vindaloo Tikka and the Tuna and Caviar Phuckha. Both were absolutely perfect, I particularly enjoyed the grilled flavor of the chicken.
Course #3 (Entree): we chose the Lobster Moilee served on a bed of coconut cream sauce along with the Xacutti Chicken, served in a gravy of coconut, tamarind and red chilies. We loved both dishes, especially the lobster which was cooked to perfection. The entrées were served with rice, daal done two different ways, crispy stringy okra and a basket of naan.
Course #4 (Palatte cleanser): A small
Dragonfruit sorbet.
Course #5 (Dessert): We chose the chocolate mousse/cake served with this frozen fruit circle which we couldn’t identify but tasted pretty interesting and we also got the sticky toffee pudding which had whole pieces of dates in them. Both desserts were fantastic.
Special shout out to the service team: we ordered some mocktails in the beginning that we absolutely hated and they were so generous to switch them out for mango lassi free of charge. On the bill they even deducted the charge for the mocktails.
We really enjoyed this Valentine’s Day dinner.

We went to Junoon on Valentine’s Day after driving nearly an hour into Manhattan and had a very disappointing experience.
We were told they were only serving a fixed Valentine’s Day menu at $165 per person, with both guests required to participate. We were seated at a high chair/bar table, not a proper dining table, but agreed given the occasion.
Service was slow throughout. Food took an unusually long time to arrive, and we had to remind staff multiple times. The appetizers (paneer and chicken tikka) were bland, underseasoned, and very small portions. The paneer had almost no flavor, and the chicken tikka was mediocre.
The entrees (lobster and chicken vindaloo) were below average and heavily Americanized, with far more emphasis on presentation than taste. Nothing felt authentic. A “palate cleanser” followed that was unpleasant, and the dessert tasted like frozen, reheated food.
When the server asked how the food was and we said “just okay,” there was no follow-up or attempt to address concerns.
The final bill was $425, including $66 in automatic gratuity, which felt completely undeserved. We’ve spent more at other Indian fine-dining restaurants in NYC and felt it was worth it — this was not.
Junoon prioritizes gimmicks and prix-fixe upselling over flavor and authenticity. For anyone considering spending $400–$500 here on a special occasion, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
