Food, drinks and service were very good. But beware, thisis a very expensive restaurant. Not €€-€€€ like advertised on Tripidvisor.

Un excelente restaurante de platos sudamericanos. El servicio fue muy bueno y la selección de vinos también fue muy buena. Solo podemos recomendar este restaurante en Nueva York.

The vibe was okay. Seating hostess is such a lovely person! So friendly and inviting. First thing I noticed was there was no one there. Steak house empty on Father’s Day Sunday? Just 2 parties seated in the back. For the beverage I ordered a Kentucky mule (switch out vodka for whiskey). Waiter never heard of it, so he asked the bar for it. Came back and tells me they can’t make it. Huh?? Food was not that great. For the appetizers I ordered ceviche, it was so so. I’ve had better at rinky-dink restaurants in Queens. Fufu de chorizo - The menu does NOT indicate that it is made with ripe plantains.. which I am allergic to! It says mashed plantains. Any Latino would assume green. So that was not a good experience. Guac trio was good. We got 2 parrilladas mixtas. One of them had extra skirt steak and two little pieces of tenderloin tips. No linguica, or no chorizo (Couldn’t tell. Only that it was one type of sausage), no pork belly (it was bacon!), and NO pork tenderloin. It was huge portions of grilled chicken, bacon, sausage, and the two types of beef. The meat was also over cooked. I asked for medium and it was well done. A lot of chewing happening for that skirt. It all also looked dry. The chimichurri sauce was not made with cilantro, but with parsley. I dare the people serving this to eat a forkful of raw parsley. Not an easy chew and very bitter! The seasoning on the chicken was nice, and the surprise order of malanga mash that we didn’t ask for was okay. It had a lot of butter for sure. Just an okay experience. What was nice at the end… The waiter, Benjamin, asked what we were celebrating. Although we previously said we were full, my daughter said it was her birthday and it was also Father’s Day. We got a créeme brûlée and a tres leches cake thrown in at no extra charge. I thought it was just a nice special thing he did, but it was done for the table next to us as well. My husband was not impressed. Sad to say, overrated and overpriced.

We were introduced to K. Rico by our lovely friends and have been back two-three times since. The food is delicious, (shout out to the amazing cooks! )the drinks are yummy! You must try the Blood Orange Cosmo. The staff is welcoming and they provide such a lovely experience. If you blink, you will miss this hidden gem. There are a lot of restaurants around, however none of them compare to K. Rico.

We visited New York for the first time and decided to come over our first wedding Anniversary (23 June). My Husband found this restaurant and made a note on the booking that it was our anniversary and from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary on arrival as did the waiter that sat us down and looked after us for the evening. The waiter went through the menu with us and made recommendations. The steaks were the best we had ever eaten, cooked to perfection and generous side portions! We ordered way too much and said we were too full for dessert for the waiter to bring us two glasses of complimentary prosecco and a creme brule for us to share. It was such a lovely touch and as the weather was pretty rubbish and caused us to cancel our plans for the daytime, they really did brighten up our day and make it that extra special. Thank you Team K Rico! If we are to ever visit New York again, we will make sure we return :-)

Visiting from the UK and booked a meal here to celebrate my partner's 60th. What a fantastic choice! Friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help and make it a memorable evening for my partner. Lovely and relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious and good quality. Would highly recommend.

Came back after after . . . You know that global thing . . . Consistently wonderful. Fantastic skirt steak, monumental, baked, potato, and great drinks. The staff here feels like family, attentive and hospitable. We love it and hope you do too. A little limoncello and tres leche almost put us over the “roll me outta here” edge but we suffered through. PS sorry for the pic 1/2 eaten and it remembered to take it.

We had a fantastic dinner here. Incredible Octopus appetizer, best we've had in years. Super tender, juicy, perfect char and very flavorful without sauce being overwhelming. This was indicative for the rest of the meal. The bone-in sirloin was perfectly grilled, tender, juicy and the rub used great balance of flavor to enhance meat, not overtake it.

I visited from Scotland and was going to see wicked and seen Rico's was round the corner and had fantastic reviews! The service was amazing (except the unironed shirts tut tut) but we will let that slide as the food was delicious! Not one complaint from any of us. The host was also such a sweetheart! Will be going again on my next visit to NYC! Thanks again!

We had planned to have a wonderful evening with our friends, consisting of 4 adults and 3 small kids. We had made arrangements to enjoy some delicious steaks (by the way, thank you for the informative presentation on the different types of steaks). My husband selected a wine from the menu, but unfortunately, they didn't have it available (priced at $50 per bottle). He then requested another wine in the same price range. As the evening progressed, we ended up ordering a second bottle of the same wine. To our surprise, when the bill arrived, we discovered that the wine they brought us was priced at $120 per bottle! It was quite a shock and left us feeling taken aback. Furthermore, we had intended not to leave any tips due to the unpleasant experience, but the restaurant automatically included 18% gratuity in the bill, considering us as a group of 6. Overall, it was a truly disappointing experience, especially on our last day in New York.

First time trying this place and I felt very uncomfortable the way the hostess greeted us. We have 2 kids: 1 of them has extreme food allergies, so every time we go out to dinner we pack him his own food. When the hostess saw the food she told us that we couldn't have outside food because this was a "restaurant". We explained and she said we had to put the packed food on their plate. We said that was fine, and gave us 1 plate for our 2 children to share. We ended up leaving since it was already an awkward and uncomfortable feeling. She was also annoyed that we had a double stroller.

After reading all the rave reviews I made the decision to make reservations to go there before a show. The service and ambience were nice. The baked oysters and octopus appetizers were delicious. The 20 oz ribeyes we ordered medium rare was somehow tough and not marbled. Haven't had such a poor quality ribeye before. For the price of the ribeyes, it was not worth it at all.

A lovely little place in Hell’s Kitchen. It is unassuming in the front, but the inside is very nice, and the back garden is a beautiful little spot in the busy-ness of the city. The owner came and spoke to us, and walked us through the meat options. The recommendations that were given were great. The food and wine was delicious. My husband loved his Rib-eye.

A steakhouse with a different and lively personality. Sizzling cuts arrive with South American sauces and side dishes and everything just seems a bit more interesting and flavorful than the conventional businessman's steakhouse. The staff is good-humored and efficient. My first visit was above & beyond fun. The restaurant had at least SOMETHING to do with it.
