We've been coming here for years as the food is amazing, the kitchen first rate. The service however, can be spotty or flat out amateurish. Our server was trying his best but was clearly untrained and there was no one supervising him. Not sure we'll go back again.
Great Restaurant to start my friendship with my stepson Samuel Hernandez. Excellent host and waiters are exceptional.
Our food was delicious and clearly made with love. Great service, beautiful decor, just a lovely destination for a special meal.
Everything we ate was remarkably delicious. Service was lovely and gracious. We'll be back!
Khalo is a modern take on a Mexican restaurant, leaning more toward Mexican-American fusion, and overall it’s a great spot. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The décor is stylish and trendy, and the music gives the place more of a club vibe than a traditional Mexican restaurant, which actually adds to the experience depending on what you’re looking for.
While the menu doesn’t offer traditional tacos, what they do have is flavorful and well-prepared. The drinks are on the overpriced side, but that’s to be expected for the location. Parking is definitely a challenge—typical New York—but despite that, the restaurant is absolutely worth the visit.
I’d recommend checking it out if you’re in the mood for a fun, modern twist on Mexican cuisine.

Kahlo is such a beautiful restaurant. The ambience and music is delightful. The food and drinks were delicious. My waiter Kevin was a true gentleman and scholar. He was so attentive and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The guacamole(s) and tres leches cake are amazing -- the best in NYC I have tried over the years.
The appetizers and main courses can rotate and there's often something new to try (with a few mainstays like the esquites and the steak).
Their cocktails are also quite good, and different from many other places.
The atmosphere is upscale casual, while also quirky and upbeat. It's hard to describe, but the overall uniqueness of Kahlo I think is what sets it apart from many other very-good-food places to eat in the area. (Including in Hudson Yards.)

Randomly found this restaurant while in NY and OMG the food was incredible! I ate the branzino and my husband had the steak and the potatoes. The guacamole was also fresh and fantastic. Peach salad was also very delicious. Overall this was delicious and worth the visit!
The meat was quite good, although customer service could be improved.

Ambience, decor and attention to detail were remarkable. Service attentive, polite and inviting. Food and drinks absolutely delicious. A divine experience.
The food, drinks, and ambience were fantastic. The reviews that I read were spot on. The only downside was a large dinner party that was very noisy.
Delicious upscale Mexican menu. Our waitress, Andrea, was warm and very knowledgeable explaining the dishes. The ambiance is beautiful and tasteful. We'll be back soon.
