This is my first time trying vegetarian Indian cuisine and I would gladly say that I’m utterly surprised of how delicious the food was. Everything was proper, the seasoning was just the perfect blend and the staff were super fun to communicate with, specially the person that was serving us Arman, charming and very patient and we loved the dishes he suggested. The atmosphere of the place was just making us feel right at home.

I would definitely suggest to other people to try the food here!

I am giving 1 star for only one reason. The ambience was neat and clean, waiters were courteous and the food was decent . As we were having the food , one of the male waiter stepped out had a cigarette and came back . He din wash his hands or clean up. All this was visible through the glass door. He served the next customer without washing hands . We wanted to try few other food options while we stayed in NY for next couple of days. But, we are not going back there and eating with confidence again.

The lunch thali ($18.99 plus tax) is a wonderful value, though I wish the seyal paneer had more cheese in it. Kailash Parbat needs better air conditioning and the interior could use a refresh.

Good Service, the food can be better. I used to eat a lot at Kailash Parbat in Bombay and Singapore but this one is not that great. I dragged my husband and was a bit disappointed that it was not the usual KP taste. The Pooris in Dahi Puri were burnt and the taste was average. The Ragda in Ragda Pattice was bland and without any flavour. The chole bhatura was the best dish - we took the Methi flavoured one and it was great! Service was good and they were friendly. I wish they improve the chaats.

I ordered from here and it is the worst Indian food I have had it in a while. I ordered Paneer Tikka Lababdar and Papdi Chaat. Paneer Tikka Lababdar was full of oil and still not good in taste. Papdi Chaat was too salty. I had to throw away more than half of the food.

Cockroaches and calculation errors is what you can expect here.

About the cockroach - we found one just randomly going from table to table on a busy weekend evening. We brought this to the attention of the staff and the diners that the cockroach was heading towards.
I will never be dining here again.
The food is average but I definitely dont want to dine where cockroaches fly freely.
They should ideally be shut down for other health code violations which im sure are happening looking at the state of affairs here.

Calculation errors- Another constant here is that the tip amount on the payment machine is always higher than the actual tip amount on the check. This is just plain cheating. In the image attached the discrepancy is clearly shown. I have been to this place atleast 6-7 times and have pointed out the discrepancy every single time. They clearly dont care.

This place has a lot of work to do. Starting with a thorough cleaning of the premises.

We were in New York for five nights, and this restaurant became our absolute favorite — so much so that we dined here every single night! The food was beyond delicious, but what made the experience truly special was the warmth and hospitality. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and welcoming.

A special thanks to Mr. Arman, who served us with such genuine care and friendliness. His polite nature, attentiveness, and cheerful personality made us feel right at home. Dining here wasn’t just about the great food, it was about the wonderful experience and memories we made. Can’t wait to come back again!

I had an amazing time dining at Kailash Parbat NYC — this place is hands down one of the best Indian food options in the city. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection.

A special shoutout to Armaan, our waiter, who truly made the evening memorable. He was warm, attentive, and incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and genuine care added so much to the experience — it felt like we were being welcomed into someone’s home.

If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine paired with top-notch service, Kailash Parbat NYC is the place to go. I can’t wait to return!

I just dined here and this place is infested with roaches! A roach came out while I was eating and the staff was not apologetic, did not offer to change my seat, there was absolutely no remorse. When I called later tonight, the staff reluctantly apologized after I noted that I never got an apology. They also said they would refund my meal but then didn’t issue a refund. Do not go! There are tons of other options nearby to eat at instead.
