Randomly found this place when I was in the area. Was craving soba and missing our Japan trip.
To our surprise the ambiance was chill, reminded me of a place we went to in Japan and the food was soooo yummy! Highly recommend and can’t wait to try their other dishes. ☺️🤤

I had a very disappointing experience. My girlfriend and I were willing to wait for a table, and the host (a long-haired guy) seemed to acknowledge this, asking how many people were in our party and communicating with us multiple times. However, after 30 minutes, a new couple walked in, and he seated them immediately, completely ignoring that we had been waiting patiently for far longer. He then ignored us indefinitely until I approached another waiter, who seated us right away. This level of disregard and lack of organization is unacceptable and left a bad impression. I won't be returning.

This menu offers a variety of classic Japanese-inspired dishes with bold flavors and comforting textures. The karaage delivers perfectly crispy, deep-fried chicken with hints of soy and ginger, while the edamame and wakame provide light, refreshing starters. The gyoza are pan-fried to perfection and enhanced with scallion for added flavor. The spicy tonkotsu ramen stands out with its rich pork broth, thin noodles, and a mix of hearty toppings like chashu, bok choy, and spicy minced pork. For rice bowl lovers, the homura don combines spicy minced pork with a soft-boiled egg for a satisfying meal, while the sukiyaki don features tender marinated beef paired with onion and scallion for a classic touch. This menu blends simplicity and depth, perfect for fans of Japanese cuisine.

My coworkers and I went here for lunch. Whether you have a cold or not, this really hits the spot as colder weather sets in. The service was fast and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious! 🤤🥰

I’m adding @kajikenmanhattan to my pocket list of midtown restaurants! So happy that there is one more place in NYC that brings good flavors from Japan and even happier that it’s close to the theater district so I can visit regularly before watching a show.
Both of the noodles we got were delicious and flavorful. You get to add more toppings to your bowl if you wish to, and I’m surprised to find that they have chili oil and vinegar available at the table just like how it is in Japan!
I had a great time enjoying the yummy dishes and already looking forward to try other flavors next time!
Amazing Ramen place, great service (Yang is the absolute best!) and the food is ON POINT and an amazing value for the location and quality
Can’t recommend enough!

Great little Japanese Noodle joint! We were walking around Times Square and wanted to grab some lunch. We were able to get seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was super nice, as the whole staff. Always had our waters filled quickly. We all tried a few new noodle and soup dishes. Grabbed a couple of appetizers as well. Food came pretty quickly. Nice and hot, tasting pretty fresh. We were extremely happy with our experience here and couldn't recommend more.

We were a group of five visiting Kajiken Ramen for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Despite being very hungry, everything was painfully slow—getting water, ordering food, and even settling the bill took forever. To make matters worse, the staff seemed distracted and inattentive throughout the entire evening, with no clear reason why. This lack of focus and urgency made the meal unnecessarily frustrating. While the food itself might be decent, the poor service overshadowed everything. I hope they can improve their efficiency and customer care in the future.
