Food was honestly pretty yummy; service was poor and maybe a little racist!

Had a reservation for 2 at 6:15pm. I arrived a bit early at 6:05pm. When I arrived there were at least 6-7 open tables for 2 people, and there was no line of people waiting. And I’ll note my friend and I purposefully planned to arrive early in the hopes of having a quick dinner because I had a train to catch.

One server came to check in w me, I gave the reservation name, she said to hold on, and then went to talk to her colleague to check for the reservation on their iPad. I pointed to it and she said okay. Didn’t think much of it til a few minutes later, keep reading

They said they can’t seat me yet which I thought was a bit rude/poor service. I understand that some restaurants want a complete party before seating but for a party of 2, that didn’t make sense to me. Even if my friend was a no show, I still would have needed one of the 2 person tables to eat, and I was on time, so I think they should have sat me. But they asked me to step to the side.

Then a group of 3 or 4 came in, the server asked if they had a reservation, they said yes, they *didn’t* check the iPad or ask for what time the res was for, and they sat them immediately! Then another pair of folks came in who didn’t have a reservation were offered to sit at the bar while they wait to see if a table would be available. I just felt like I was experiencing differential treatment but still wasn’t tooooo upset yet.

It’s 6:10, I ask if I can be seated. The woman is irritated by this request but checks w her boss then seats me, and my friend arrives at the same time.

We settle in at our table for two and they serve us water, we look at menus and start gisting, eager to catch up. Note - There were at least 3 tables next to us that were still empty.

Then about 6:20, the waitress comes back and asks if they can move us to a different table to accommodate a larger party (of about at least 4) that was standing at the door. We did not have info on whether these folks had a reservation or whether they were walk in, or how big the party would be. But either way, the restaurant should NOT have asked us to move. If they had a res, the restaurant should have planned their spacing properly for all parties. If they did not have a res, they absolutely should not be asking guest who have a reservation (us) to move after we’ve already settled in. And yes we were the only Black people in that restaurant. Bc I needed to get dinner before my travel, I begrudgingly complied and we moved to an even smaller table for two. They say they’ll offer something complimentary as an apology.

We settle in again and try to enjoy our slim remaining time. We order two drinks (plum lemonades) for the gift items - horrible. Tasted like water with a cup of sugar stirred into it. Neither of us drank more than a few sips.

We order apps and food and everything comes in good time. The calamari app and the salmon miso ramen are quite delicious.

Then at about 645 we notice that the table they made us evacuate is still empty!! And the “large” group that had been by the door is seated elsewhere.

Then at 7 we notice the table they made us evacuate has a new party of two there. Idk it all felt VERY suspicious, a little bit, racist and, at minimum, very unprofessional.

Food is ok, but service is stressful, too speedy… I was still chewing and the waiters taking away the bowls and plates.

I wouldn't say i had a bad time with the food, it was still solid but maybe not my cup of tea, I had the spicy tonkotsu which was rich and creamy but the spice really dominated the bowl I love spicy but not when it's all I can taste, delicious large cuts of charsu though can't complain about that, the karaage perfectly cooked but I can go without the sauce that goes on top, it may not sound like a great review but give it a try still a solid bowl of ramen

I came here JUST for the spicy salmon miso ramen. I was not disappointed at all. I was only puzzled that it didn’t automatically come with egg and when you do order it, it comes on the side. I do prefer my egg seasoned but the ramen was still tasty nonetheless. Sleek ambiance with great service. Probably the best service I’ve had in a ramen restaurant ever. Chase was so nice and personable. Would definitely come back again when I’m in town.

Service and atmosphere were both really good. The staff were really attentive. We got the beef and pork bao which were good but not outstanding. The pork in the pork tonkotsu was much better than the beef in the beef miso ramen. A shame that eggs are always an upcharge at ramen restaurants now! Price seemed average in NYC.

Ramen was great, rich broth with interesting flavours. Looked great. Pork better than the beef in the ramen. Definitely get the onsen eggs

Definitely recommend on a cold day.

Moody atmosphere, quiet, nice spot.

Service was fast. Portions not too big. Prices were reasonable.

Solid ramen! The portions are actually bigger than it appears. The soup is so hearty and flavoured perfectly. Size of the restaurant is decent but filled up easily while we visited so try to get a reservation if you can!

Easily in my top 5 for the states. Place is low key and atmosphere is great. On a busy night make reservation if you walk in you will be waiting it’s that good. Must try for anyone…
