Best Omakase I have ever had. I have had the privilege of Omakase in the biggest cities in the US and abroad, and the food, service, sake selection, and ambiance was top rate. I have a new favorite and will be back many times when I visit NYC.
The entire experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. This was our second Omakase experience and both times exceeded expectations.
A premium and elevated experience. The food was creative and well presented. The staff was attentive.
Overpriced. The food was good but not exceptional. I object to paying $40 for a tiny cocktail or $50 half a glass of wine when the whole bottle costs wholesale half of that. Sashimi was excellent. As was the miso soup.
Fish were absolutely fresh. The service was impeccable. The staff were extremely knowledgeable with about Sushi as well as wine. The staff make you feel at home & very welcomed ! Amazing venue with partnership with the Gogasian gallery next door !
Food excellent. Maitre d fantastic. Ambiance perfect. Waitress was incredibly rude and was rushing us to order. The restaurant was half full so couldn't comprehend why she had an attitude. I rarely tip less than 20% but unfortunately had too this afternoon:(
I had been here once a couple years ago and the food was excellent and even though it was a super expensive meal, it was worth it. So my kids booked it for an encore and what a disappointment. The food was marginal in comparison, borderline bad. The fish didn't taste fresh. Definitely not worth 300 per person. The whole experience was very, very disappointing. Never going back.
Think portions are getting smaller and pricing through the roof. They service just ok...very eager to take plates away, fill your glasses etc . Not as great as they used to be!
Used to be excellent. Became ok good with time. But now, the quality has gone down so much. Not worth it at all, for the second and last time.
It is always amazing here beautiful presentations service And delicious choices on the menu

Not worth the price. I felt rushed and not able to enjoy properly. When I am paying this kind of money for a meal I what to take my time...
an evening I'll never forget! service was amazing! best sushi I've ever had. we ordered the chef's tasting menu.. Just wow. all my sensations exploded! thank Kappo Massa!
The server and service was the best that we've experienced in New York City. The food came out very quickly and the weight staff were on their a game. The sashimi was very thin so you got 14 slices but tiny pieces of fish. That was the only complaint otherwise the roles were fabulous and the ambience was incredible.
I went to Kappo Masa's on Madison for the first time because Masa's on Columbus Circle is closed on Mondays. The taste and presentation were sophisticated and better than I expected. The VIP I brought with me from Japan was very satisfied with the food. Thank you very much.
The quality of food has dramatically shifted here. the fish was almost inedible and beyond fishy tasting. the drink was 30 dollars and filled with ice. my bill was over 750, which would be worth it if the food had tasted good. the fish was fishy. not sure if they changed owners, get their fish from a new supplier or what but this I've been here many times over the years and I will never go back. I called twice to speak about the quality of the meal, spoke to people at the restaurant and eft messages, and no one returned my call.
