No trip to NYC is complete without visiting the iconic Katz’s Delicatessen. This place really delivers on quality. We had the classic pastrami on rye with mustard and cheese and shared one sandwich between the two of us — easily our favorite food experience in the city. When you enter, you get a card where your order is recorded, and you pay when leaving by handing in the card, so don’t lose it. The meat is sliced in front of you, and they even offer a few slices to taste while you wait. The portions are huge! One sandwhich was definitely enough for the both of us. We also tried their IPA, which was good. Truly a must-visit spot with such iconic interior.

I went over the weekend, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much — but I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered two sandwiches, but of course, the pastrami one is the star of the show. It’s huge, so one sandwich can easily feed two people.

This place is definitely a must-visit if you’re in NYC. We waited about 30 minutes in line, which wasn’t bad at all since I thought it would be much longer. Just be prepared — each sandwich costs around $30 and doesn’t include any sides. Still, totally worth it for the experience and the flavor!

Iconic, it lives up to the hype. Out cutter seemed like he didnt want to be there, but it was 5 am so get it. The food was delicious

I was at deli cutter 8, his name is Chris, he was very nice and patient. I gave a tip, in addition a 15% tip at the end even if I didn't sit to eat. The line outside went quick, but waiting for #8 delivery cutter was a bit longer since people ordered several sandwiches. It was hard for him to hear cause of the noise inside, I preferred taking it to go cause the noise level was too much for me. Anyway they charge extra for the cheese but definitely worth it since it's nice and creamy. The pickles are free and fresh. There was no long like to pay or to leave. I ate half the sandwich since they put plenty of pastrami. I've never had pastrami this good! Definitely worth the hype aside from the price but it's good quality meat. A lot of tourists were there too. I'm from NYC so it was definitely a great sandwich spot. They've been around years even before my mom was born looks like since the 1800's around there. I had pastrami on a club, mayo and cheese.

Crowded, rushed and noisy like a school cafeteria, but the pastrami is to die for! Worth the wait and hassle; get table service if you can. The sandwich that they are most famous for is terrific! Although they don't skimp on the price, they don't skimp on the meat either. Huge portions!

We visited Katz in New York because we thought it was kosher. Later we found out that it’s no longer officially certified, but the restaurant mentions that their meat is still kosher-style and prepared in line with kosher traditions. This made me a bit worried at first, but we decided to trust it — and honestly, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. The flavor, quality, and experience were unforgettable.

The food was good. Wasn't out of this world mind blowing but it was definitely good. Value for money we were a little disappointed hence only 4 stars.
It gets very busy in here!

Over priced. The sandwiches are nothing special. Better delis in nyc easy and not so expensive. Paid over $60 for 2 sandwiches which were ordinary

Amazing food and atmosphere. They let you try a sample first, then you see how meat is cut, and the sandwich is prepared in front of you. Pickles and mustard go so well with it! Old photos on the walls with famous people - this place is historic.

It does get crowded on weekends, so expect a long line. Might feel hectic, so try not to get confused what to order and what to do if it's your first time.
