Amazing experience with fantastic meat!

The deco was very distinctive and interesting and felt very historic

Ordered sirloin, lamb chops and the famous mutton. Food was exceptional and cooked well. There was a slight mix up but changed immediately and staff very attentive and friendly. Had a football top on as was out all day and watched Arsenal game and even met a fellow fan in the form of the waiter lol

Classic New York steakhouse experience. The wedge salad and smoked bacon are ready special on top of the amazing cuts of steak they serve.

The food was pretty good. But our steak was served 2mins after we ordered it. Quite disappointed considering this is a high quality restaurant. And everything is like a haste contest, you order, food serviced, ask for dessert and bang! Check. Won’t go there for the second time.

We went last night for dinner and were extremely disappointed with our experience. We were sat right in the entrance to the restaurant under an air-conditioning unit which felt very cold when we walked in. We asked to sit at a different table but were told that we couldn’t because we had a stroller, despite the fact that the restaurant was empty as it had only just opened for evening service. Before our food arrived, we asked for the air-conditioning to be turned down. Then when our food arrived, we immediately asked for the air-conditioning to be turned down as it clearly hasn’t been turned down on first request, despite being assured it was. We had to eat our food extremely quickly as it was turning cold soon into the meal. When our waiter asked how the meal was, I said it was cold and his manager came over and offered us anything we wanted to be brought out warm, but by this point we had nearly finished our meal so we didn’t want more food. She also assured us the temperature had been turned up. If it had, then there is a fault in the unit. Whilst the manager did offer us some complimentary desserts or coffees, we declined as we needed to leave as we had a young baby with us. We were disappointed that our experience was not reflected in a goodwill gesture coming off the bill. We spent over $160 to eat delicious but cold food which we don’t consider acceptable. A most disappointing return visit to the restaurant.

This is a cool spot. Feels classic and the food was tasty. However, I'd say it's way overpriced for what it is.

Great food and service as always. I’d consider knocking off a star for atmosphere because I was seated upstairs (and it’s not quite as vibey as the main floor), but that would be unfair. Keens is as good as it gets for a steakhouse, just try to get seated downstairs if you can.

The service was fine. When we walked in the host was nice and I wasn’t really looking where we were being sat but when I finally looked up it was only white people. I felt really uncomfortable, the pictures on the wall felt like a bad omen. We had the lobster bisque which had a taste I didn’t really like but my husband did! The shrimp still had strings of poop in that defense most restaurants leave some. The bread was hard but still good or maybe we were just starving. I didn’t mind any of that bc as I looked around everyone’s steaks looked perfect but I was disappointed. I felt like I got an old fatty piece of meat bc I ordered medium well and even then it was still bloody. My husband got a New York strip or something and said it was fatty too but he was starving so he ate what he could from both our steaks lol we definitely don’t recommend this overrated spot especially for people of color. Felt like such a waste of $200. Glad we didn’t get drinks or dessert here. Also, you’re seated so damn close to other tables I couldn’t hear myself think.

They always do it the same way at Keen’s, and that’s because there is no better way! Consistently top-quality meat; friendly, smart service. A gorgeous room with confidence but not brashness or “bro”-ness.”

Bravo!

In a city filled with legendary steak houses, Keens is a standout. Always has been. Walking into this restaurant is like walking into old New York. It’s very rich in history and tradition, and goes back to the days when Herald Square was the theater district. That history really adds to the ambiance. Additionally, there’s the most curious of a collection on the ceiling. There are thousands of old clay pipes displayed. It’s a very interesting collection from a time when patrons left their favorite pipes in their favorite pub or inn. Since I live pretty close I’ve had the opportunity to have tried many things on the menu over the years. It’s always been a culinary experience as every dish I’ve ever ordered has been well prepared and very good. Things are consistently delicious at Keens. You just can’t go wrong. That’s why this is one of the spots I bring visiting family and friends to. On this occasion I went with the mutton chops, along with a half size of sautéed spinach. Since it was only me this time, that was enough. If you’ve never had mutton chops before, then this is the place to try it. The dish is ‘legendary’ and it’s named just that. Justifiably so, because, I got to tell you, it’s such a unique and savory dish. It has a smokey taste to it that is just fantastic. This is a dish you’ve got to try.

Whether it’s one of their aged steaks, a seafood combo, pork chops, or whatever, you’ll be treated to great service and a delicious dinner. Keens is in that top tier of steakhouses that you always have to have on your list. I can’t say enough; highly recommended.
