The food is great, as is reviewed and listed as one of the top restaurants in NYC by so many different critics, influencers, and fans, but it's the service that stood out to me. Our server was kind, fun, knowledgeable and took us through the entire menu. Great for special occasions and a fun night out.

don’t like the table next to the exit door- feels like they’re really trying to squeeze as much money out of the place without considering the comfort of the diners. the food is exceptional but the portions don’t match the price points. it is soho so.

When entering King, you feel like you’re stepped into someone’s lovely home. Warm and friendly service. The food was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection, melts in your mouth. The appetizers like the parsnips fries were flavorful and nothing like I’ve has before.

Wow. Me and my parents had an amazing experience at King. As we were there for an early dinner we didn’t order a lot, but everything was delicious, especially the caponata. The presentation and atmosphere are beautiful and service was top-notch. Everyone was so kind and friendly without being overbearing and the operation seemed to be running like a well oiled machine. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d be planning my next dinner here already! Maybe the only restaurant I’ve been to where I wanted to go back to try more of the menu on the same night.

Menu is limited (by 8:15pm they were already out of one dish). Salad was bland and tasted more earthy than fresh. Overall, the food was unremarkable. Dining room is also cramped and very noisy. This can’t possibly be one of the top 100 restaurants in NY (as per NY Times).
Excellent food and cocktails- we ordered one of everything on the menu and for 4 people it worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

We were visiting from Sydney for my birthday and my husband read the Times and booked it as a surprise.
To say we were underwhelmed would be an understatement...My appetizer, a roast tomato tart consisted of non-seasoned tomatoes on burnt puff pastry. That's it. Extremely dry and bland but sadly, not forgettable... The pork chop that followed was equally difficult to digest. No jus, just a couple of shrivelled cherries with navy/white beans.. . Lazy and uninspired.
Do not get me started on the complimentary cardboard cracker they bring out. So dry it (thankfully) flew off the plate..
Sommelier was great and recommended a lovely wine which helped to try wash down our half eaten dinner.

This place is a fantastic restaurant! 🍴 King 👑 in SoHo 🗽 serves a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 elevate dishes 🍽️ - definitely try the Sirloin Chargrilled ♨️ Steak 🥩 over Thyme 🌿 branches with lentils, pea 🫛 shoots, baby gems 🥬, radishes , and anchoïade! The staff 👨🍳 is super friendly, welcoming, and professional! Ambience 🎶 fantastic. I wish I knew about this place earlier!
