This is a typical example of New York dystopian restaurant universe. Nowhere else a business like this would stay open for more than a week.$16 for few pieces of fried bread; $12 (12!!) for a bunch of pitted olives; $28 for half a portion (or even less) of spaghetti dipped in an artichoke cream. The gran finale: $48 for a sirloin steak. But wait! it wasn’t a full steak, only two (two!) micro slices, so tough I could barely cut them with a knife. In addition, they crowded the place with so many tables that you either sit on someone else lap, or your table is halfway out the door….Positive: exceptional staff, attentive, polite, always on point.

Great looking restaurant with hardworking support staff that doesn’t meet the moment with its actual food (and left me feeling sick to my stomach - literally). We’ve walked past this restaurant for nearly a decade and have never stopped to dine until this year. We were seated in the outdoor dining section and proceeded to sit there for hours without any food. We were the first and only table seated in the outdoor area which only added to the confusion about the wait timeAt one point the restaurant sent out a plate of raw radishes with the stems still attached and butter as an apology/snack for us along with some comped drinks.Raw. Radishes.Someone in charge must have realized that this was a humiliating move and proceeded to comp our entire meal which was an extremely nice gesture considering the embarrassingly long wait time and plate of RAW RADISHES.The food arrived and it tasted fine. We ordered the lamb, striped bass and two omelets. Nothing to write home about. It wasn’t until later that I felt sick from the meal. I had a horrible stomach ache. Perhaps it was the raw radishes or perhaps it was the lamb. Regardless I left the restaurant disappointed and later very uncomfortable and sick. This was an all around disappointing experience.I don’t know what happened to the restaurant on this day but clearly it was bad. The staff was very apologetic and professional which is why I’ve given them three stars.

Jess Shadbolt & team performing the kind of alchemy that transports you to the food of your Nicoise meme or Ligurian nonna with fresh local produce driving an ever changing menu served up by professionals in a charming space paired with a fantastic winelist. Just don't steal our seat...

This place was recommended for date night and it is certainly pretty but the place is rather busy even on weeknights. The food is good but the menu limited, and watch out for the prices, a glass of coke set me back $6. Unique items are on the menu though and it was nice to try a rib eye on top of rosemary branches. Staff is friendly and proficient. The steak was brought to my table hot which I truly appreciate.

Anniversary dinner - we wanted to love it…Server was so great and knowledgeableThe first pasta dish was great and deliciousDrinks were good tooThe monkfish and pork chop were flavourless and cold. Packed the food after 3 bites and the server or manager didn’t seem concerned ….. I work in hospitality and that is a red flag no to check in why the food hasn’t been touched really. Really wanted to love it here and just overall was just a little disappointed, wouldn’t recommend dining here

Cool N.

Rats running up and down the sidewalk. Broken sidewalk. Garbage piled against the filthy sheds. Food overpriced.

This place has been on my hit list for awhile now, part because of the food & in large part in awe of this business founded by 3 women. This also completes my Clare de Boer Mecca having previously hit Stissing House in the summer, Jupiter in the Fall, & now this. While Stissing House probably remains my favorite for its roaring fireplace vibes, this comes second with its coziness and just flavorful menu that changes daily. We kickstarted with the Sicilian Flat Bread, which was just incredible. Our grp couldn't resist asking for more as it was just this crispy and light concoction that was delightful. The panisse was also unique and a great protein rich alternative to fries . All other dishes in the picture were superb but the raclette cabbage mixture stands out (though I have been racletting for weeks now so maybe I'm just biased ‍). Definitely order the tarte tatin if available. It did not disappoint. Very easy going service & worth another visit!
