The worst afternoon tea I've ever had, and I've been to many! All of the sandwiches, most of the desserts and the scones were completely stale. The tea was weak. The waiter disappeared for an extraordinarily long time and only checked on us once to refill water after bringing the food (we were the only people in the place). When I complained about everything being stale, he said oh that's strange let me look into it and then never did. At the end we had to go downstairs to get our check because he forgot about us. Also, he did not credit us anything for the stale food. The place also seems like it's falling apart. Hard pass on this place!!!

Beautifully decorated, terrific service. We came for high tea and had a great experience.

Very high end high tea experience. Good food, ambience and a nice little spot tucked away in the city

I cannot recommend King’s Carriage House highly enough for your special event. We were treated with fantastic service and still given the privacy to enjoy each other’s company. The courteous staff ensured our complete comfort and satisfaction. The food was spectacular as were the teas. 10/10

Very lovely. I took my daughter for her birthday and it was a very elegant and delish experience. The oolong pomegranate was delightful. My personal favorite the brie tart was amazing!! The salmon pate and gait cheese tart were wonderful. Reasonably priced, they said they do bridal/baby showers too! Cute!Thank you for a special afternoon Mahmood and Paul.

4.5/5 This place is so so cute and lovely inside. The tea service is great. Limited tea options, but I am a classic Earl Grey girl myself so as long as they have that I'm a happy camper. The scones and ginger sandwiches are tasty and the price is reasonable. This is such a hidden gem on the UES. I have been here twice but noted that they do a changing menu for some season/special occasions (Autumnal tea, Christmas, Mother's Day, etc). Hoping to swing by again soon!!

Such a really cool atmosphere with lots of lovely little details. The plates and teapots are adorable. Large tea selection and a good mix of little sandwiches, pastries etc. The scones were amazing too!

LOVE IT HERE!! Feels like you are walking into Europe on the UES. The service is amazing, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I could sit here all day. Can't wait to be back. I have been to other teas in NYC and this is the best.

If you’re not going to take online reservations in 2024, at least make sure your phone staff isn’t rude and impatient. Although maybe we dodged a bullet, since some of the other reviews weren’t impressed with the service either. Went to BG and had a great time

I have dined at Kings' Carriage House many times over the years, having grown up just a few blocks away. I have also hosted a number of private events there over the years such as a ladies' holiday tea and a birthday dinner. Most recently, I hosted my bridesmaids luncheon upstairs in the Hunt Room. As always, Liz ensured everything was just perfect for the occassion!

Awful stale breads, ice-cold rock solid creme for scone, old and musty ambience, extremely small bites. The worst afternoon tea I've ever had.

I have had afternoon tea all over the world and. been to hundreds of tea salons. This was by far the worst and NOT a good representation at any level of a tea salon. I prefer to give it 0 stars, please do not waste your money here. Currently $45.97 + tax + tip. PROS: The Paris tea was delicious with honey that we had to ask for CONS: A dog and it's bed greets you at the door at the foot of the stairs. There is no elevator; if you cannot maneuver a flight and a half of stairs, this would not be a place for you to go. Once upstairs, the whimpering dog was heard from the first floor throughout the subpar "Afternoon Tea." A disruption that contributed to the subpar tea experience. The decor consisted of Loosely attached, peeling wallpaper in the dining area and in the lavatory. Beyond negative experience: - Tiny morsels of food being served on STALE BREADS - White sugar and packet of Equal as sweeteners; honey is not offered unless you ask, .- This was not loose leaf tea but store bought tea bags. - Stale, cold desserts - Ice cold crème for the egg size scones (2) - Ice cold whipped cream that has hardened in the refrigerator. It appears to have been brought directly from the refrigerator to your table. Unspreadable. - portions are extremely small and not substantial at all. One tablespoon size dish with jam and cream for two people. - This was not clotted cream - Tea selection is extremely limited - Postage sized Stamp-sized lemon curd bar was ice cold and stale Do not go here if you have gluten sensitivity, you will be charged an extra &10 for your meal. There are no vegan options at this time, that menu is still being developed it says on the menu. THIS IS AN EASY - HARD NO, NOT EVER!
