Been here twice, most recently for the tuna cutting. The fish, service, and atmosphere are amazing. Be sure to check it out
Refined course menu that I enjoyed very much. Very good overall.
Quite delightful and so so fresh. Pricey but delicious
Kissaki is a popular spot with a dedicated following, and the interior is undoubtedly stylish and inviting. However, I found the pricing to be a bit steep for what is essentially basic sushi. None of the nigiri stood out as particularly memorable, and it was clear that the focus is on a fusion-style omakase. Given the high price point, I'm unlikely to return or recommend it to others.
Enjoyed my first omakase experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely go back.
Came for a premium tuna dinner. For a total of $154 ($20 was tip) we received only five bites of food and one drink over the course of two hours. While the photos look great, the taste of the food was not good. Def not worth $20 per each bite of food.
We spit out the last piece because the sushi rice was so bad and the fish roe was brown when it should be a bright red left. They drenched the fish in sauce that ruined it and who puts raw onion, tomato, and oranges plus vinegar soup with tuna??
At one point, one of the “chefs” asked the other whether they were serving ceviche or sashimi, to which the other responded that he didn’t know. On several occasions, they served a dish only to take it back moments later, saying they had forgotten an ingredient - which further reinforced the impression that they were inexperienced.
1) The event description stated: a bluefin tuna carving demonstration followed by a dinner of fresh tuna. No freshly carved tuna was served to us.
2) The event description also said drink pairings included. We were given a single drink upon arrival. How is that drink pairings (plural)??
3) There were cameras recording patrons for the entire two-hour event, and no consent or release forms were provided or requested.
We raised our concerns with the owner, but he only stated that he believed what was provided was “better than advertised.” Uh, we were not given what was advertised, does not matter if you think it was better.
They need to make edits to the advertisements in both email and on Resy because this was just not matching the description. They also need to train the ‘chefs’ more because the flavors and cuts were super inconsistent.
Worst omakase I’ve ever had. Diabolical. Advertised fresh cut tuna and we got frozen tuna
- Service: The staff were attentive and willingly answered all our questions about the food. They started with warm hand towels for cleanliness, and the chef was friendly and approachable.
- Vibe: Despite the limited seating, the restaurant provided comfortable seats and even had a hanger for my wife's purse.
- Cardamom Mule: This cocktail had a pleasant ginger aroma and a subtle sweetness that I enjoyed.
- Nagano Soha Cha: The toasted buckwheat tea had a peaceful aroma that my wife particularly liked.
- First Appetizer: The combination of flavors in the fluke wrapped around grapefruit, garnished with summer truffle, and dipped in homemade ponzu sauce was truly delightful. The tanginess of the grapefruit added a refreshing twist to awaken our taste buds.
- Second Appetizer: The Hokkaido Uni with egg yolk sauce, caviar, lemon zest, and Japanese squid offered a delightful balance of flavors. It had a slight richness, which was perfectly contrasted by the squid and caviar. The texture was luxuriously smooth, and the overall taste was absolutely delicious.
- Third Appetizer: The Hokkaido Scallop topped with truffle and cream sauce showcased the outstanding freshness and sweetness of the scallop. The creamy sauce added a delightful balance, resulting in a scrumptious combination that we thoroughly enjoyed.
- First Bite: The Japanese amberjack (Kanpachi) topped with Mirin Dashi had a delightful bouncy texture and a pronounced freshness that shone through with each bite. It was a satisfying and enjoyable treat.
- Second Bite: The Kinmedai (Goldeneye Snapper) fish, while not as sweet as the amberjack, had a pleasant aroma that enhanced the overall experience. It was another delightful creation from the chef that we thoroughly enjoyed.
- Third Bite: The Shima Aji (Striped Jack) topped with Black Garlic offered a richer flavor profile compared to the Kinmedai, and it tasted even better. The addition of black garlic added depth, creating a truly enjoyable experience.
- Fourth Bite: The Akamutsu had a slight saltiness from the charcoal salt that enhanced its overall flavor. As the richness increased, it became even more delicious.
- Fifth Bite: The Monkfish Liver (Foie Gras of the Sea) had an enticing aroma, and the sweet sauce perfectly complemented its richness. It was an outstanding dish with excellent flavor combinations.
- Sixth Bite: The Baby Hamachi topped with roasted paprika had a unique and slightly spicy aroma from the roasted paprika. It added an extra dimension to the already delicious bite, making it another enjoyable dish.

- The culinary experience surpassed our expectations with each subsequent bite. Words fail to capture the exceptional quality of the dishes at this remarkable establishment. The overall dining experience was simply outstanding, and we will definitely be returning. We highly recommend it to anyone who loves omakase. 🤟
creative omakase dishes, price point matches the quality of the food. Services is excellent.
food was outstanding, pricey but worth it. ambience i give it 3 stars cause the venue is a dark stetch of high ceiling local that doesnt have a vibe to a good japanese sushi place

The food was good and well priced but was took this from 4 to 5 star was the service. Our server took extra care for every small detail. Will go again.
Wonderful dining experience. The food was awesome and really fresh. We appreciated everything that chef Edgar put forward. The service was awesome to match. It made for a great night and we can't wait to go back.
Very clean and sleek interior, with very friendly and knowledgeable service. Every piece was described in great detail! I think some of the more delicate fish could have done with less wasabi for my personal preference, as it drowned out the taste of the fish for me. My favorite was the amberjack and the salmon. Echoing some prior reviewers -- the quality of the fish was there, but not a mind blowing experience. Also wished there was a more creative dessert other than the vanilla ice cream.
