Business has closed. I am saddened by this. I liked their food and service. Must've been the pandemic that caused it.

Kitakata Ramen was tasty with a thin soup. Good place to get a quick lunch.

I'm from Kitakata city where the original bannai is. I grew up with eating kitakata ramen and this ramen taste exactly what it's supposed to be. The original kitakata ramen comes with chashu and scallions only nothing else is on.

2.5 / 3.0 - I'm confused by all of the raving reviews for Kitakata Ramen. What we experienced was not quality ramen or service. For a $15 ramen, you can certainly do better. Kitakata Ramen is a small ramen spot in UWS with both indoor and outdoor dining. Since we went off-peak late evening, there were tables open and we were able to sit inside. The server who showed us to our table was wearing her face mask as a chin strap the entire time we were there. Considering they didn't check for vaccine proof (which businesses aren't enforced to until Monday), we should have just left. We ordered: - Kitakata Ramen ($12.49+) with Seasoned Egg ($1.75+) - Aburi Miso Ramen ($13.99+) with Seasoned Egg ($1.75+) The chashu (pork) was nice and soft, but it was too salty. The broths were on the saltier side, too--especially the Aburi Miso Ramen. The noodles, which should have had more texture, were too soft. The seasoned egg was the only thing I really enjoyed. If this is their standard, I would not recommend it.

Delicious food, cute place, clean, attentive waitstaff. Loved all around. Especially loved it because my picky eaters kids ate everything, their first time in authentic Japanese restaurant.

Reasonably-priced decent light broth ramen. Pork katsu sando was good, little pricey.

Good food. Poor table service.I was the only one seated outside and one other was inside. They refilled my water once and forgot the drink I ordered.Really? Do you have nothing else to do?WATCH YOUR TABLES.

We enjoy to go out. Last night we found this fine restaurant which friends told us about. We spent a lovely experience there with very good dishes and a well-trained stuff and a professional cuisine. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will certainly come back very soon. We warmly recommend.

Very good and flavorful food! This place had great food and the portion sizes were big. I got the miso ramen which tasted great and had a good ratio of noodles to toppings. Probably one of the best ramen I’ve ever eaten to be honest. Towards the end of eating it, there were just a million bean sprouts at the bottom. Another food we had gotten was boiled vegetable ramen. It was good, had a white pepper flavor. Portion was pretty big. The server was also very nice, and it was fun how they all said bye when we left. Definitely recommend this place if you want amazing ramen.

I'm am glad this spot survived 2020. They have great food , and great service. Maddie has great customer service when dealing with the public.

The food was alright, good gyozas and alright ramen. The waitress, Maddie, was rude to every single customer while I was there. Won’t be coming back.
