I honestly didn’t expect much walking in, but this place really surprised me. The Yum Pu Dong raw blue crab was extremely fresh with a soft, bouncy texture and just the right amount of spice, and it felt very clean and easy to eat. The garlic shrimp was another favorite, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of flavor without being oily. I also really enjoyed the Kor Moo Yang grilled pork neck, which had a nice smoky char, a great balance of fat and meat, and a sauce that made it hard to stop eating. Everything tasted well seasoned but not heavy. I’ve always loved Chef Kenji’s cooking, and you can really feel his style and experience in these dishes. It’s a low key spot, but the food alone makes it worth coming back.

It is so sad to see how my favorite Thai restaurant became a place where I will never come back again. The food quality is now very poor, the place is always loud and the prices are high (to not mention the 20% tip already included). On top of this- with 24 degrees weather putting the AC was extremely uncomfortable. Sadly, I’ll never come back again.
