this place has been on my mind for a while and it happened that I stayed late after work. not only are the staff & owner so lovely, the cats were very therapeutic as someone who works in healthcare. I will be back and I suggest everyone goes!

It’s a really nice space, there are two levels and the kitties are free to travel to both places. It was a little crowded however , so there wasn’t much opportunity to play with the kitties and they were sleeping so peacefully . But they are sweet cats and I will definitely go back maybe at a different time and day.

My husband and I loved our visit to Koneko - the cattery is an enjoyable place to relax and appreciate the cats. Staff is knowledgeable and thoughtful. The cats’ comfort and care is clearly a priority and that’s a huge plus. The fully stocked cafe is a great. You can clearly come by and support by buying food or drink without visiting the cattery. We’ll definitely be back!

Koneko is superb! Thanks to Sarah and everybody there, I was able to meet and learn about Stanley over several excellent visits. I enjoyed my free tea (peppermint).
After getting in touch with RescueNYC (partnered with Koneko), I began the process of adoption. Now, Stanley has been home for a month and I am extremely happy to care for him.
I cannot recommend Koneko more enthusiastically for a visit or to explore adoption. The cats are taken very well care of and the atmosphere is superb. RescueNYC (Barbra) is amazing. She brought Stanley to my home in Brooklyn and has been an invaluable partner, in constant contact, to share his transition.
I look forward to supporting Koneko for many years to come. Thank you as well to RescueNYC!

Way better than I expected! It was clean, organized and so much fun! The cats were so cute and sweet. You can’t hold them. But you can pet and cuddle. There were at least 15. Maybe more. It didn’t smell at all. The animals were well cared for. I would have adopted one if I lived there!!

I came there, and the little ones were sleeping. Think that might have deterred me...until I started petting them and it was heaven. Be aware, you will have to share the room with other people; they don't have rules on how loud or quiet someone should be however. The cats, the employees, the drink, was all great...but the people that joined with us were not.
A beautiful and fun place to spend some time with man's best pet. Tasty drinks too. Love their mission!

I took my two daughters to Koneko this afternoon and we THE BEST time. The staff was so nice and knowlegable, and the whole atmosphere was both welcoming and relaxing! Additionally, the drinks and treats were delicious! It was a stark contrast to Meow Parlour which we visited just 2 days earlier. The staff at Meow Parlour was unwelcoming (to put it mildly) and told us that they don't have a waitlist, while a waitlist was avilable online when I checked. For anyone debating between the two, don't think twice. Go to Koneko.
