I've gotten baked goods from there through the Too Good To Go app. I've allay ordered iced espresso and croissant. The pastries are delicious. The espresso was ok. Tasted a little like burnt caramel

The guy working there is stoned, super rude, and unwelcoming. Used to be a good spot.

I originally had written a glowing review of this place. But something has changed in the service. The staff used to be cordial and friendly. Last time I came here the barista was super mean and gave me an attitude. Another time the barista was cleaning the bathroom and gave my wife an attitude when she politely asked when he was going to be done. Truly sad to see a great place go down in service.

Not allowing customers to use the bathroom at a coffee shop is crazy

I’d like to echo the voices of the inwood community who have had troubling experiences at this coffee shop. I enjoy the lattes very much and often stopped by on my way to the train but will no longer be doing so after an extremely rude and unprompted encounter with the male barista (often wears a beanie). When made aware of the interaction, the owner was equally unfriendly and made it clear that she holds no value for customer service. It’s a shame since I was eager to cultivate a friendly community environment, but I will no longer be spending my money or time at this establishment.

Barista with a black beanie (it’s always on) was extremely rude to my wife. Confronted him, he gaslit me. Wrote an email to the owner, she gaslit me too. Don’t support these people!👎🏻

Be ready to be overcharged.
5oz Flat White goes for $6.
Their menu lists the smallest size at 8oz. However, their Flat White comes in a smaller 6oz cup (not listed in their menu) and its not even full its more like 4 to 5oz.
Customer Service is lacking…. Ordered a croissant with the Flat White too and was just placed in a paper bag, I had to ask if they can warm up for me, they didn’t even ask if I wanted warm or not.
When I inquired about the size of the Flat White the male barista said thats the size for the flat white and when I complained that the 6oz is not even listed there all I got was an “oookaay” with an attitude.

Not a busy enough institution imo to not offer a pour over option. Especially with an institution with a Japanese name, as specialty/3rd-wave coffee has become a bit of a Japanese standard (Hario??). A shop sourcing Counter Culture coffee should know the significance of a good single-origin pour-over. And their coffee experience should at least match that of their tea..., which IS excellent btw. Ultimately, it's nice to see an elevated coffee shop in Inwood but I don't think offering a pour-over at a Japanese coffee shop would be an outrageous ask.

Tried a chai latte today it was one of the best lattes I’ve had. Stumbled on this place by visiting a friend. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

We love our neighborhood coffee shop! Coffee is great, pastries are great, wifi is great, staff is A+. Their matcha is the best in the neighborhood, I say this with confidence. My 3yo son loves to come here and interact with Ryan & co. They are good and genuine people, we really appreciate their deadpan humor and the way they've always received us. If you're looking for a quiet place to work or think or just be, this is the spot for you. And bonus, they have a bathroom which is rare in this neighborhood.
Kid-friendliness: My 3 year old loves to come here, and I've been here with our baby many times as well. It's a quiet, not overstimulating spot and my son has always been well received by the staff and other customers.

This place has the best coffee in the area. They have small bites too (croissants, muffins) which are also great.

The coffee here is good. It’s unfortunate the kind of staff they hire though. The barista with the long arm sleeve tattoos is very racist and hostile. He talks to the customers in a very condescending way especially brown/black customers and makes horrible creepy eye contact. The vibe of the coffeeshop and the people working in it can totally change your mood for the day and thats why I wish this place can do better and hire someone who is more passionate about their job and doesn’t kill the vibe for everyone.
