Kyma is a consistently excellent restaurant in every way. I am there often with my wife and with friends for both lunch and dinner and it is always a terrific dining experience. The food and service are excellent and the environment is warm and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and the portions are substantial. I come from the Upper East Side and friends come from Staten Island because it is well worth the trip. At this particular visit, our server was Kim and she was wonderful....
I came to Kyma for the second time — my first visit a few months ago was amazing, so I was really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. From the moment my friend and I walked in, the two hostesses were extremely rude and unpleasant for no reason. They spoke to me aggressively and looked at me with a condescending attitude. Our waitress wasn't much better — she never smiled once during the entire service and kept forgetting things...
I am a Greek/American and the food was delicious! I am picky when it comes to eating Greek food out! We will be back and make sure our dinner is later so we can be part of the fun that begins at 9pm!
