Great omakase style restaurant ( means you have a set menu in the dining room ). Expensive but really high quality.

l'abeille is a charming treasure housed in a romantic corner spot in Tribeca. The lighting is moody and the decor lux with velvet seat cushions and a handsomely laid table. The service is thoughtful and no detail is overlooked. They immediately brought a little stool for my handbag when they saw me struggling to find a spot for it. The food is exquisitely presented - the salads look like works of art - and everything tastes as delectable as it looks. The wine list is exceptional. l'abeille is a very special restaurant and not to be missed.

The food and service are both excellent, but the room is just a very small space for this level of cuisine and expense. The room lacks any scale and grandeur and the interior design is just too safe, crowd pleasing and underwhelming. This makes the experience feel a little like the you’re shopping at the Banana Republic of fine dining. The team does try to pull out all the stops with beautiful china, synchronized plate presentations, a lot of hand poured sauces at the table, an excellent wine list, even a digestif cart - but overall it just doesn’t quite have the magic.

I almost never rate 5 stars on a first visit, but L'abeille earned it. Visited for a collaboration tasting menu with Chef Florent Pietravalle from La Mirande in Avignon, where we had enjoyed dining a few years ago. Every course was on point with a thoughtful and well paired wine. There were no less-than-stellar dishes or pairings (very unusual). The service was top tier, among the best I've had anywhere. The ambience was a perfect balance of buzzy and intimate. Overall, the experience was worth the price.

OK, so... This was our first time in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Everything was just fabulous. We had great expectations, and everything was better. Amazing food (tuna entrée, turbot and venison mains), super friendly, warm and delicate service (thanks Jose), home cocktail that was just out of this world, complimentary bouchées to start and end the meal... wow. And, honestly, the bill wasnt so bad!

A very good restaurant. The food was of the best quality and tasted excellent. All of the dishes on the Chef's Tasting menu were quite wonderful. The corresponding wines in the reserve pairing were all fantastic (excellent wine list). The service was always present without being intrusive, very friendly, polite and courteous. We had a very nice evening.

A two-sided review, made an 830 reservation for a bday dinner for 2 but had to wait over 45 minutes to be seated because was told the prior seating was not getting up, but that it would be shortly. Was a very frustrating experience with poor communication. When finally seated, our server was gracious and the food was spectacular but the initial disappointment was hard to overcome. Torn as to whether would want to come back.

I had a wonderful time at l’abeille with my two teenage daughters. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chef created mocktail pairings that matched the dishes perfectly. One of them was so good that my daughter wished it was a candy. The presentation of the food was also stunning. The chef was gracious to come to our table and greet us. It was a memorable and enjoyable experience.Kid-friendliness: If your kids are adventurous eaters and love food, they will have a great time at l'abeille. My kids, who are teenagers, liked every dish. The mocktails were especially fun and tasty.

We did the tasting course. I know my restaurants in nyc and this has been the best restaurant I’ve eaten in in NYC. Great service, amazing wine and the food was unbelievable. Didn’t even look at the check because the food was out of this world!

Unbelievably rude service with a host of disjointed servers rushing us through our meal. The experience was honestly shocking with their Michelin star status. Servers reaching over us, pressuring us to take orders and not communicating, and not refilling drinks. On top of that the food was below average at best. Very small portions with no flavor or experience to match. Sea bass was a tiny fish pop tart, risotto was a soupy mess, and the burger somehow was lackluster as well.Much better options at much more refined establishments that get the dining experience.

The tasting menu was definitely the way to go. Their courses are unique and exquisite and the presentations are just beautiful. This was a very memorable birthday dinner. The staff are professional and friendly.
