French fast food. Drip coffee was good with a shot of espresso, otherwise not much taste. Real mugs and cups to stay, thank you. Croissants looked good, but were not delicious. Nicely flaky, but almost underbaked inside and the taste made me wonder about the butter(?) they use. OK ham and cheese baguette (the bread part a bit underwhelming). Plenty of seating, also some outside.
The croissant are beyond good; their are legitimate French croissants exactly as you would find in France. This is baking art, and you won’t regret it.

The latte was served too hot and it burned my tongue. This is the first time I’ve experienced this during my visit. They did not want to remake the drink without charging and only offered a second cup to layer onto it.

I'm glad I discovered this spot and shall definitely return! My Caffè latte and sandwich were v good, the latter reminiscent of the baguettes jambon i used to enjoy in Paris, though a bit on the salty side. I also ordered a beignet which was less good, alas. Service is also excellent
Would have liked more small tables, but I would happily sit at a long table with strangers to enjoy a pastry and coffee at L'Ami Pierre anytime! The crumble raspberry and latte I ordered were perfect for a morning treat!

I tried their vanilla eclair which I thought was okay, a 75 out of a possible 100 rating. It seems to get its strongest flavor from the white icing on top of it rather than the filling. I have had more flavorful eclairs elsewhere. I also had their brewed coffee which, at any place you buy coffee, the taste can depend on what time of the day you buy it. At any place it can be great when freshly brewed in the early morning and ordinary at 5 pm. I had it at 5 p.m. It had no energy boosting kick to it, and not much coffee flavor.
