La Bergamote is a reliable neighborhood bistro. The menu is short but everything is well-prepared. Likewise, the wine list--nicely curated with reasonable prices. The wait staff is attentive and patience; no one rushes you, and the atmosphere is quiet enough that you can have a good conversation. We've been several times and look forward to going again.
A really great experience. French onion soup was DELICIOUS and our main courses were really good too.
I took one bite of the French bread and I realized we had discovered an exceptional restaurant. We had a bowl of bouillabaisse. A good-sized portion and the flavors were just right. Our server is from France so we were even able to chat a bit French.
A great neighborhood spot with fresh food and a great selection of pastries. Good for one-on -one catch ups while people watching on 9th Ave.
I like this place best for breakfast lunch or brunch. Today's meal was simple scrambled eggs with chives, salad (in lieu of berries), brioche toast and extra side of chicken Apple sausage. I recalled the eggs from months ago had goat cheese in them, which I missed, especially since the eggs were a tad dry from overcooking them. They also were bland and needed more chives. The sausage was spot on delicious, and the toast was fluffy and yummy. My companion had the soup du jour, which was great. I love that we dined without being micro managed or rushed. Super relaxed and good vibes. If you haven't tried their tarts please do. They are incredibly tasty, fresh, bursting with flavor.
Really terrible dessert….
Charlie was our waiter. He came from France 1 yr ago. He was exceptionally skilled, charming and attentive. We loved every minute he spent with us. We will be back in a heartbeat.
Lovely place with good service and a great menu. Love the lemon ricotta pancakes but everything ordered at the table was outstanding.
Awful and nasty service. Stale cake. Stay away.

Very nice bakery with a nice selection of pastries. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. I got the Tiramisu and the Bergamote Citron. They were both delicious.

The food and service were great, but I won’t be returning. It was heartbreaking to see how overworked the staff was, especially the barista who was giving it her all. To make matters worse, I couldn’t even leave a tip because their outdated system doesn’t allow credit card tips. In 2024, in a city like this, it’s shocking that a busy restaurant hasn’t caught up with modern payment options. Disappointing.

Went in to grab dessert to-go but waited over 5 minutes with no greeting. Two men were on the phone, and a woman was busy making coffee. When one man finished his call, he ignored us and moved on to something else. Frustrated, we left empty-handed. We’ve visited before without issue, but this experience was disappointing, especially on a cold evening at 6:30 PM. Why?
Worst tiramisu ever! It doesn't even look like tiramisu. I returned it and got a chocolate mousse. It was also terrible! It was so thick and bad. I ate a third of it and left the rest. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

I’ve been a long time patron of this bakery and ordered some pies for Thanksgiving 2024. They were so sugary that we couldn’t even taste anything else. Please go back to your French roots with less sugar. Please.
