The fondue was expensive and disappointing, the wines as well. Great playlist, though.

On a rainy Saturday in Manhattan, La Bonne Soupe pleased all of our palettes. Wonderful service in a small space, but served in a timely manner. Delicious food!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. Tuna tartar, Caesar Salad and onion soup, then the Boeuf Bourguignon and finally the chocolate soufflé. All excellent.Recommended.The restaurant is considerably larger than it looks from the outside as there are tables in the back and upstairs. My only negative is the presence of a huge tv screen upstairs. It would be much nicer without it. Or at least without it on. Had I known I would have requested a downstairs table.

Rami and Julia were amazing staff. Both were charming, helpful and made our already delightful dinner even more enjoyable. We felt really cared for, the food was superb and the setting felt like we were in Paris. We started and ended our visit to NYC at this lovely quaint restaurant and highly recommend it for the food, atmosphere and service.

I went to La Bonne Soupe for a dinner service with my mother and grandmother when we first arrived in NYC early last week. I was sure I'd made a reservation, but something must have happened on my end because it hadn't gone through. Regardless, they had an open table for us-right next to a little heater which was perfect! We enjoyed their famous French onion soup which wasn't overly salty yet perfectly flavorful, their soup of the day, a spiced carrot soup, mashed potatoes, smooth dimensional red and white table wines, the c'est si bonne cocktail, and a crème brûlée. Everything was an absolute delight, the service was wonderful, and the interior was quaint and so cozy. I will be coming back next time I'm in the city!

My favorite place in all of nyc. Reviewing after my second time here. The food is just to die for. The steak tartare was great. The fondue was perfect, but we learned our lesson the first time — better split between more than two people! This visit we tried the French onion soup— the best I’ve ever had! However, we are suckers for the escargot & will continue to get it ever time we visit. The most buttery, garlicky, creamy and seasoned in all of the world. I mean it— I’ve had escargot in France & this is better. So beyond delicious. P.S pomme frites are thin and crispy! The only way to have them.Last night, my fiancé and I came to celebrate our engagement and they treated us like kings and queens. The most perfect table on their balcony, complimentary champagne & the most attentive service — but consistently said “stay! Take your time” so we never felt rushed to go even though the kitchen closed. They have a lifetime customer in me.I’ll be back soon! xo*Pictures are from both visits

Went for lunch with 4 people, all 4 came out hungry. Used to be good, now it is just expensive for the quantity and quality of food. Selection is not great either. Not coming again.

We had a great evening here on Valentine’s Day. Although the restaurant was full, the food and service were still timely and impeccable! The steak au poivre, French onion soup, and escargots are some of the best we’ve had outside of France. We were also fortunate enough to have been served by Melissa who was such a wonderful server that helped make the evening so special for us. Her kindness and attentiveness were exceptional, we loved her! Will definitely be coming back soon :)

A cute little bistro. I had the soup of the day. Delicious! I was served very warmly. I really enjoyed my stay. Small tables, a narrow aisle. It's easy to get into conversation with others. Highly recommended.
