I was very disappointed with my recent visit. The food quality was unacceptable and did not match the high prices. The taco chicken was undercooked, which raised serious food safety concerns. The rest of the meal lacked flavor and presentation. Given the price point, I expected far better quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to others.

Want to give a huge shutout to the entire staff at La Contenta. Someone in our party had a medical emergency (not related to the food or drink) and the staff reacted quickly and calmly, helping us call 911.
The food was excellent, by the way. Really enjoyed the enchiladas suizas and the carne asada tacos. Although it’s only 2 tacos per order, the portion of meat per taco is very generous.

We went for dinner on a busy Saturday night without a reservation and Angel and Jose were incredibly attentive. We shared some nachos and guacamole. Honestly, La Contenta Oesta has the best nachos I have tried. My new favorite dish is the fish in the Veracruz sauce. It's flavorful and perfectly balanced. They also have a great drinks menu. I love going to La Contenta Oeste and try to visit them as often as I can.

I hadn’t been to La Contenta Oeste in a while, but I decided to come back and try it again. The food is still delicious, and I really love their cocktails. they’re some of the best! The service was okay; it might have been a busy time since they forgot to refill our water a few times. Overall, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. I’d still recommend it for great food and drinks in the East Village.

Obscenely small portion of chips. Salsa tasted like ketchup! Birria tacos literally were just beef tacos. No lime with my fish tacos. Pretty disappointing after seeing so many positive reviews
