Came here for a birthday celebration with a group of 24 people. The staff was incredibly nice and patient. The owner came by and introduced himself to the table as well. Very attentive...

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 I really want to love La Contrada because they have a great menu. My main fault in the food is that the pastas are way too oily. I have constantly asked them to use less oil. When they do make the pasta with less oil, it tastes amazing! Otherwise it's so oily. They do serve a free sangria per entree during lunch so that's a really good plus point. The service is okay. The servers aren't that attentive and they take a while to serve drinks, get the bill, etc. They're all so nice and mean well that's why I'm giving 3 stars.

Love the brunch from the food to the setup of this spot. It was packed with good music and my food was delicious. Service was fast and great. We were a big group - 25 of us - and I actually wish we would've stayed a bit longer but it was St. Patty's Day so some wanted to go bar hopping. Three people that ordered the steak & eggs said their food was cold but the manager took care of that pretty quickly. Pasta dishes & prices were perfecto :-)

First time here and I made the right choice for my 10 year anniversary dinner. From the moment we stepped foot in we right away felt comfortable and welcomed. We were greeted by the bartender ( Jesus ) and waiter ( William ) moments later executive chef ( Felix ) came to our table and welcomed us and told us a few details about the menu and specials. We ordered as starters grilled octopus salad which was a 10 out of 10 and my wife got the Trofie Portofino and i got the Branzino it was all delicious! All while sipping on their lovely Sangria. Dessert was completely amazing! If you are around the area try don't be afraid to try it out you'll be back and if not, plan a date and enjoy a wonderful dinner with friends or family.

I don't know how so many people gave this restaurant only 1star!!! Me and my boyfriend originally were going next door to double zero when we realized they had no meat, so we Checked next door and we found La Contrada and the hamburger (only 1 option of hamburger) caught our eye so we went in! The waiter was super accommodating and friendly! We got 2 orders of the hamburger which had avocado onions cheese lettuce and tomato and 1 order of twist pasta with pesto sauce and shrimp and it was sooooooo good!!! My bf and I were so shocked! So so good, it did take a while but we didn't mind, they waited for us to finish our pesto pasta so they can bring us our hamburger and we will definitely be coming back!! So happy we found this place. Can't wait for spring/summer, so we can also enjoy this friendly service outdoors!

I really wanted to like this place, good music and fun atmosphere and the owner was very nice but the food & service was hit or miss. We had a large group of 8 there for dinner. The meatballs were really good so if you go I do recommend that or the bolognese. However, a couple of us ordered carbonara (done with cream not egg) but it was oddly super bitter so no one ended up eating it. Our server was no where to be seen after ordering and he forgot a couple of dishes we ordered. Then the runner ended up bringing out half of our table's dishes and the other dishes went to the wrong table. So two tables with half their food for 30 minutes. They apologized when the bill came but I think a better apology would have been to give a free app for us to much on so we could eat together.

This place was a mess. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or just simply under prepared. We came here with a large group starting at 8 pm and let them know we had to be out by 9:45 - seems pretty reasonable, 2 hours for everything. However the waiter was not pleased. We put in our order for apps and it took 45 mins for them to come out - all we got was garlic bread (which came out severely undercooked- the garlic was still raw), burrata and calamari. The calamari also didn't come out until we received our main courses! We didn't get our mains till about 940, at which time we barely ate our food and instead asked it to go since we had to head to another event, which we were now already late for. There were quite some large groups there on this night, so the place seems to be accepting of the reservations, but then they should also make sure they are prepared to serve them properly.

This is what I received for my $15 Fettucine Alfredo delivery order. They also substituted a cheaper dessert for what I ordered and didn't deliver the garlic bread I ordered. Crooks. Avoid. "I'll take care o' ya next time" isn't good customer service. Also they passed off what tastes like day old pizza for garlic bread.

The best service I received in NYC. The owner is super friendly and did go an extra mile to make sure everything was fine. We got the bottomless brunch and they kept refilling every 15 mins. Food was amazing. Fast and good service. Keep it up.

Stays open late, good service, tasty food, good location. It advertises vegan options but I didn't check that out because we like Italian and Italian is its primary focus.

Disregard the whiney kids who gave this place 1 star. Those folks will never be happy in life if they didn't like this place. Anyway, went here last night with a big group for birthday celebrations and was treated like close family by the staff and owner, Marcello. I had a smattering of fantastic menu items and cocktails and none of it disappointed. To name a few great things I had: carbonara, pesto, Bolognese, burrata, gnocchi, and eggplant. La Contrada checked all the boxes off for me and my group. Incredibly accommodating and hospitable staff and owner, great ambience, and solid Italian fare. Will definitely be back for more, and can't wait to try their brunch!

Four of us were walking by on a Friday night, looking for a place to eat - and came upon La Contrada. We were glad we did! The staff was amazingly attentive and super friendly. The food (we mostly had pastas) was outstanding from start to finish, and the owner, Frank, stopped by the table personally to chat for a bit. This place is a great option in the neighborhood - It's well lit, not noisy, overcrowded or pretentious in the least - just great, friendly service and perfectly prepared Italian food that would make my Nana happy! We'll be back, and you should be too!
