The variety and flavor of the vegan breakfast, lunch, smoothies, coffees are amazing. This restaurant is in walking distance from many hotels. Located in a cool historical art deco building. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is fresh, and the place has such a cool vibe.
Absolutely disgusting I am sorry , rice was stale and beans watery and funny smell. Bert disappointed.

Rude service. Asked for 1/4 chicken and got charged for 1/2 a chicken since they don't serve 1/4 chicken. We ordered empanadas that were cold and disgusting. The food was all old. Just terrible food and poor service. Find somewhere else to eat. Not worth it.

Pastelitos are not fresh at all. They’re very oily and sit under a heated lamp and get hard as a rock.
Great job 👏
Amazing. The roast chicken is a standout
La Isla presents a challenge in knowing what to highlight first. Their meals taste fresh and come beautifully arranged. This spot fulfilled my expectations completely. Good food. Truly excellent staff. I appreciated the consistent quality.

I was looking for some Cuchifrito and stopped by La Isla. Over all it's is Puerto Rican food and tastes like it too. The service was ok but the staff had somewhat of an attitude (but who in NYC doesn't have one?). Not bad overall.

I appreciated the thought put into how this place feels. The food satisfies consistently and the location saves me time. The meal preparation and worker care exceeded expectations. The food quality went past merely great. This spot is EXCELLENT!

The breakfast was incredible! The chai pancakes were the best pancakes I’ve ever had. We also had the chickpea toast and it was so good. Really awesome!!
Worth the walk and order and every dollar I spent.

Not sure who's cooking the food in the back kitchen but it has definitely changed- the food used to be very tasty and flavorful, now it is bland and needs more seasoning. It is still fresh and they still give you a lot of food but it needs to be seasoned. The person packing my food gave me someone else's meal because the receipt was not on the paper bag so they didn't know which customer was getting which order. They put your receipt in the bag in the end after the order is packed, when it should be on the outside so they know which items go into which bag for different customers.
When I lived in San Juan this used to be one of my favourite places to go to. The food and coffee is really good, but mostly the vibe is very chill. Could always get some work done here. Very centrally located. I’m starting to miss it now I’m thinking about it again
Tasty vegan options, and great brunch. Our favorite were the chickpea and avocado quesadillas! They have a nice environment for studying, hanging out, or meeting up with a friend or date. They also have a little shop with eco friendly gifts, bulk ingredients and sustainable household items for sale.
