This place is a true hidden gem in the heart of downtown. Food is to die for with a ton of options for vegetarians and vegans and every single thing is to die for.Service is just out of the world and our server, who was a fashion designer, was just as good a company as one can hope for. They even agreed to make oysters broiled (instead of raw) and it was a true delight. While wall st area has many steak houses, this one truly stand out and I would rate it as by far the best that I have been to. Can't wait to go back!

I just had the unfortunate displeasure of experiencing the Easter brunch at La Marchande in NYC, and it was nothing short of a disaster.  It was an overpriced, under-delivered train wreck that left a terrible taste in my mouth – and sadly, not from the mediocre food.Despite having a reservation for 1:30 PM for a party of five, our patience was tested from the moment we arrived. We arrived promptly, only to be informed by the host that our table wasn't ready yet due to the lingering presence of the previous occupants. To add insult to injury, they suggested we start eating while literally standing beside the "buffet" amidst the chaos of servers and patrons bustling about.  I understanddelays happen, especially on a holiday special occasion like this, but the disregard for our time, the absence of any updates, and their offer to eat standing up were not quite acceptable.Let's talk about the so-called "buffet" that came with a  $85 price tag. It was a pitiful sight. The "raw bar" boasted a sad selection of clams and  and what seemed like grocery store cocktail shrimp . As for the entree choices, the hanger steak was actually ok and surprisingly cooked medium rare as we ordered, the omelet was lackluster at best, and don't even get me started on the abomination that was the sausage and brie breakfast sandwich, with not even some garnish in sight. As for beverages, not even a basic cup of drip coffee or a splash of orange juice was included in the already overpriced menu. Surprisingly, they didn't gouge us for San Pellegrino, but that's a small comfort considering the overall debacle. And let's talk about their champagne "bar," which was nothing more than a shameless money grab. Charging an additional $20 just to get an overpriced bottle of champagne surrounded by "a premium selection of fruit" brought to the table. We gladly passed on that one.As if all this wasn't enough, the icing on the cake was the utter lack of toilet paper in both the men's and women's restrooms. It's a basic necessity that even the most rundown gas station manages to provide, yet La Marchande couldn't be bothered. In summary, La Marchande's Easter service was a masterclass in overpriced incompetence. Save your money and your holiday spirit – there are far better ways to spend your time and hard-earned cash in NYC.

Went here for breakfast and was delicious! We had the waffle and a latte, both were outstanding. Enjoyed sitting by window. Service has some holes and could be improved, but overall excellent!

Great spot to work/take quick client lunches but man oh man was the food the worst I've had in NYC. French onion soup salty, asian chicken salad? Under seasoned. Tea? Not steeped. If it wasn't for the lack of great hotel lobbies in Fidi, I would never. I had to call my servers over a few times because no one cared to check-in.

Loved the ambiance when I entered the dining room and the customer service was great. However, the plate portion and the plating was not appealing. The pricing was way too high for all of these plates. The plates we ordered on prime box tasted really bland as it felt like the prawns had water in them. I know that portioning is a big thing when it comes to the F&B industry, but this is seriously ineffective - three bland watery and low quality prawns for over 30 dollars??? Although the staffs were attentive, I was a little disturbed by how often they checked on us for the taste of our plates.? Appetizer - Lobster Ravioli $26? Prime Box - Aged Long Island Duck Breast $35? Prime Box - Broiled Prawns $34? Les Desserts - Basque Cheesecake $16? Sparkling Wine - Bohigas (Spain, 2019) $19 per glass

Fantastic food and service. Highly recommend going to the pier after a delicious meal!To follow up on service: I felt that the staff was very helpful. They were helpful when we couldn't choose between two dishes. They took steps to ensure we were comfortable and they were especially kind. We hadn't even realized we had talked for 40 minutes after they had already closed! That's because they weren't making any attempt to rush us or tell us they were already closed. They were genuine and I really appreciated the kind service.

Came here for a solo dinner on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t too crowded so got a table. Service was lovely but it did take a while to get my food, which was only shishito peppers and the French onion dumplings. I would not get the shishito peppers again (lacked flavor, no dipping sauce) but the French onion dumplings were delicious. It comes as a soup, which I might’ve missed on the menu, but it was so perfect in this cold weather. I ordered one of the mocktails and the waiter graciously gave it to me for free, which was nice. The manager came over and asked how I was doing, which was also a nice touch. Overall, the ambience and service are great, but I’ll have to come back and try more things, especially their dessert because the menu has so many options.Vegetarian options: There’s a decent amount of vegetarian options for a French restaurant, but not a lot.

We were looking forward to dining here but unfortunately the whole experience was underwhelming. The food is not well executed at all, the duck breast in particular has been sous vide which manages to set the duck fat and there is inadequate secondary cooking to render the fat let alone cook the meat. Duck breast should be pink, but this was bordering on raw. The soups were lacking flavor and unbalanced. The desserts unfortunately taste like they are somewhat old. The service is a huge let down which meant the whole experience was not great at all. It could have been a bad day for the team as other reviews appear to have had good experiences.

I fell in love with LaMarchande on a visit to NYC during the summer. It quickly became a "must do" on my list during a Christmas visit. From the food, to the wine, and dessert, it speaks to my soul. Truly a gem.
