Great tapas and service. Best dishes were gambas al ajillo, boquerones en vinagre, salads were terrific!
When I visit New York, a dinner at La Nacional is obligatory. The food and ambiance are wonderful. The restaurant also offers a fascinating window into the history of the Spanish immigrant community in NYC. You will not regret this choice.
Fun place, reasonable prices, convivial, friendly service, delicious food! Perfect for dates with friends or lovers.
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant that opens the door to a wonderful experience in Little Spain
Best Pulpo a la plancha I've had. And that lemon pie!! Staff is lovely, nice crowd too. We'll be back 💜
This popular classic Spanish offers a broad array of very well-prepared classic entrees served by attentive staff
Warm and friendly staff and good food made our night extra special. This restaurant feels like a neighborhood place with no airs and graces-just good, authentic Spanish food and drinks. Thank you for makibg us feel at home!
Thank you to La Nacional for a WONDERFUL dinner visit! So good to see the host Adriana, very welcoming! And a big thank you to our delightful server Adriana! The meal was superb -- we look forward to seeing you again soon ‼️
Great time! Excellent service. Roasted vegetables, empanadas and croquetas were among our favorites, the dessert churros are delicious!
Delicious paella—I recommend the “negra” (squid ink), though I wish it came hot instead of tepid. The service was slack. We had to ask someone to clear our table before coffee and desert. .

I've been to this restaurant four times before and kept coming back because the food used to be good. Unfortunately, my last visit was the complete opposite. We waited 30 minutes for a table and then over 2 hours for our food. When the paella finally arrived, it was cold, chewy, and inedible. The sangria was watered down, and to make matters worse, our server seemed exhausted she was unprofessional the entire evening. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had, and I actually felt sick afterward from how poorly the paella was prepared. Very disappointing considering my previous visits. Honestly, I wish I could get a refund.
My daughters and I were missing Spain and this place was recommended to me by a Spaniard. We went for Happy Hour and had the best time. Every tapas dish we ordered (we ordered all of them!) was so authentic and super delicious. The vibe was chill and the servers were attentive. We will definitely be back for tapas and for dinner as well.
Great place for authentic Spanish cuisine - especially paella. Good reasonably priced Spanish wine selection as well!
It's a great buzzy atmosphere which is always a great start to a meal. We ordered sangria and it's was the best. we've ever had. Had a selection of tapas which were all excellent! Service was very good. Can't wait to return.
We started with a bottle of Tempranillo wine, then had all the happy hour appetizers, and ended with the mussels, calamari, shrimp and chicken pállela. Everything was amazing!
