This place is amazing! Service was excellent, food was delicious (there were five adults, two kids) - we ordered different things and shared bites. Each was more delicious but all were fabulous. Highly recommend. Great cozy vibes - did not feel touristy but a familiar local gem.

La Nonna did not disappoint on a recent visit to NYC with my family (husband and two adult children). We enjoyed favorites like chicken parm, various pastas, warm bread, desserts, and wine. We will definitely go back if circumstances allow.
We had a fantastic dinner on a beautiful Fall Saturday evening outside while people watching and having a fun time with my husband. The pasta frutta di mare was exceptional! The linguine with clams was delicious. The pizza was yummy with the perfect ratio of sauce and toppings and crunchy crust. I will be going back!
Really nice place, good happy hour deals, speedy service, and they dont rip the tourists off like a lot of places.

This place offers Italian food in Little Italy main street. The atmosphere is Italian (although most of the waiters were not Italians). The service is really good. You need to know what to order, the ravioli Alfredo was amazing. Handmade with great sause. The Bolognese sauce was ok but not very special as you would expect from Italians. The Pizza was tasty and I would expect the caprese salad to be better.

I ordered pizza Margherita and I am still looking for basil in it.
It was compulsory also tips. I understand the American culture but at least we should have been able to choose how much.

I have been a customer at La NONA for more than five years, regularly visiting with my family. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting.
The owner displayed behavior that felt discriminatory and unwelcoming toward us as Hispanic customers, despite the fact that nearly all of the staff are Hispanic themselves and provide good service. His attitude made us feel as if we were not valued guests.
What was especially troubling is that after we had already ordered and begun eating, he instructed that the air conditioning be turned off, making the atmosphere uncomfortable for my family. This treatment showed a lack of respect and consideration for loyal customers.
I never expected such behavior after years of supporting this establishment. Sadly, this experience has made it impossible for me to continue recommending or returning to La NONA.

Great welcome! Great pizza and atmosphere in the restaurant.
A quick run down of my very long review. If on the fence about where to eat in Little Italy. CHOOSE La Nonna's and enjoy a fantastic meal in a super cute environment with impeccable service.
We were walking through looking at various menus & restaurants when we came across La Nonna and spoke with the most delightful man who sang his Italian melodys to my daughter & myself. He had the voice of an angel. We did decide to continue on and check out all the restaurants down the street before making up our mind. After talking with different people & reading a ton of menus we decided between La Nonna's & a place next door so we headed back that direction. We got back over and as soon as I heard that beautiful voice again I was instantly relaxed and that was the tie breaker.
I wasn't sorry. Our waiter was very pleasant. We had drinks and appetizers while we waited on someone else to join us. The waiter was attentive and patient as we waited, kept our water filled and the drinks flowing. He brought us some bread as well with butter. It was delicious! We ordered the Brushetta, which I didn't exactly love but hear me out, it was my own fault. I don't like a lot of raw onion and the menu clearly said it had onion but I was thinking it would just be a little bit, but it gave too much of an onion flavor. This is just my personal tastes and not the fault of La Nonnas. I would order it again but ask for no onions. Our entree's were fabulous. My husband & I ordered the Pollo Speciale and a dish of linguini with olive oil & garlic to share. It was so delicious, like seriously so good! The vegetables that came with it were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My daughter had the Rigatoni alla Vodka and added grilled chicken to it. It was also very good. We all had leftovers to take home. Oh and I had a lemon drop martini...Yummy!
I was in town from Texas, visiting my daughter who lives in the area and when I come for my next visit I'll definitely be back to La Nonna's to be serenaded and for a phenomenal meal!! I wish I had gotten his name but I was too entranced by the voice. You know who you are, Thank you sir for making our night special and certainly one to remember.😀 (I wish I had pictures of the food but I was busy eating it)

I had the funghi risotto and it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was generous, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We also appreciated that they respected our request for no alcohol — they kindly prepared the risotto fresh without it. A wonderful dining experience, highly recommended!
