Good restaurant and food but just noticed that they charge more than the menu states. See photos. Just based on that I’m giving one star because that’s scammy and I will also be reaching out to the management to complain.
People have strong opinions about the food at eataly. Personally I think it’s pretty good. Does it feel a little touristy? Sure. But if you took each restaurant and put them somewhere else it would likely be viewed positively. When I am at eataly I like to eat at one of the counter only spots because it’s fun and different and I like the market vibe. This spot is the bigger sit down at a table restaurants and usually the most busy. The pastas were good and that’s what I expect at early. Not the best but definitely not bad, and that’s what you get here. Verdict: no because if I happen to be there and want to eat I’ll do the counter pasta place where u watch them make fresh pasta in front of you.
It's a perfect spot for families, with plenty of kid-friendly options like pizza and pasta. The atmosphere is really unique, with little vendors all around that make it feel like a true Italian marketplace. One of the highlights was watching fresh tortellini being made right in front of us! It's also a fun place to go with a friend—you can grab a seat at the bar, enjoy a casual bite to eat, and have a drink in a cute setting.
The service from Ronnie was excellent. So my review isn't for him. Unfortunately the very thing my son wanted to go to Pizza and Pasta for was unavailable due to their broken fryer. Not in La Pizza and La Pasta's control. This was a celebration for his middle school graduation but some menu items were not available. Also, there was a gentleman who just didn't hear us anytime he came by the table or he was just rushing but he wouldn't allow for us to ask a question or request anything for the table. Overall I do like Eataly and things happen but when they do, they are excellent in communicating with their patrons. Overall Eataly itself is a great Italian marketplace. Update.. Thank you to Eataly's management for communicating to me and giving context to a busy Sunday. We will certainly return and give things another shot.
Nice spot. We love Eataly. However, we should have eaten at one of the interactive dining areas instead of the restaurant proper. Our waiter came, took our order and left, never to be seen again. No one was assigned to our table and the employees never could find him. Had to flag down random staff to get our check and pay our bill.
The pizza at La Pizza & La Pasta was absolutely wonderful—fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and full of flavor. However, the service didn't quite meet expectations. Our server seemed impatient and not very attentive, which took away from an otherwise great meal.
Waitress left a lot to be desired. She was doing her”job” but did not connect personally. Food was not hot. Bread $5 - really. If I put my utensil down someone immediately appeared to ask it my plate could be removed. Thankfully NYC had hundreds of restaurants to choose from.
I love Eataly, and this was my first time dining at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. After bringing us water, our waiter disappeared, and another waiter had to step in to take our order. When we finished eating, we were again forgotten. We waited quite a while for the check, and the manager eventually had to bring it over.
As for the food, the Margherita Verace TSG pizza was pretty good. However, the Linguine allo Scoglio was disappointing. The pasta was overly hard beyond al dente. the mussels were mostly closed, with very small, grainy meat inside. The sauce lacked flavor and depth.
On top of that, the meal was quite expensive for the quality and service we received
Ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo , the pasta itself was good but the sauce was watery, no flavor at all, not even salt. I had to ask for some grated Parmesan cheese to add some flavor.
Food and service was great. It's a busy place and filled with people chatting if that's what you're into. Also, the strawberry sorbet dessert is really good!

This was my late sister’s favorite Italian restaurant in New York. We would visit every time I visited her. The house wine selection is fantastic and they always have some special. The sauces are amazingly fresh and tasty.
Honestly the food was mediocre to really not good. Great service great location but food was not Italian. Plain American flavor and quality
A really nice place to eat inside of Eatly! The pasta tastes so fresh and everything was delicious. Server was warm and friendly.
We had a great time enjoying our meal. The service was fantastic, and it was easy for us to make our reservation.
$200 for 4 people at lunch, eating lightly and only 2 glasses of budget wine total. Overpriced for value. A lot of the magic of Eataly is gone compared to several years ago. Service was mixed, nothing terrible but not what I'd expect. We noted in the reservation that it was a special occasion, but got seated in a crappy seat next to the sidebar/silverware and no one asked about the occasion. Skipped their dessert and had gelato at the doorway after, much better and straightforward.
