The closest thing I’ve found to a dining experience in France in the city. Food, service, atmosphere, all near perfect.

Great!
Had great night ! Food was amazing, host was over accommodating, friendly and made us feel special. Highly recommend
Just a phenomenal experience. Feels like you are in an old school living room and outside in a square at the same time
Service slow, yet friendly. Too slow however. Food over cooked, unfortunately. They charged me 6.5 USD for bread, which we didn't even order; found that unpleasant. Also sparkling water bottle was 12 USD, bit excessive but I guess those are prices today. So ultimately an unremarkable dinner.
I had a fabulous time at La Ripaille. The ambience was warm and inviting. Excellent food and service. Looking forward to returning with friends for a classic french cozy bistro experience!
Honestly, La Ripaille is fine. The wine selection is good, the servers are very nice, however the owner is exceptionally rude and uncomfortable to be around. He openly scolded servers doing a fantastic job in the middle of the dining room for no reason. The food is good enough, but a bit overpriced. That being said, the fries taste remarkably like fries that I'm sure you've had before... that's all I'll say about that if you get what I mean. Overall, pretty good, would consider going back.
A jewel of a classic Greenwhich Village French restaurant. The owner, Alain, is a gentleman of great charm and taste. The food never disappoints.

During the meal drinks were cleared from the table before they were finished. The owner offered the table after dinner drinks. Everyone at the table believed they were on the house. We had already spent a lot of money on food and drinks. We were charged for the on the house drinks. The owner even pushed more than one. This conduct is outrageous.
Dining here is always a sublime experience. The food and its presentation is wonderful from the appetizers through desserts. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Not too loud. The owner (who is always there) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Go and enjoy!
Fabulous dinner on a Saturday night, great energy in the restaurant and lovely service. The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!
La Ripaille is a treasure—consistently superb French food in an atmosphere that (somehow) never gets too noisy. The owner is always there making sure everyone's experience is great.
This was one of my best dinner experiences I’ve had probably. Got the steak frites which was good but the ambiance, music, lighting, artwork etc was fantastic. Not too loud either. Only downside was the prices of the food was more expensive then their online menu but didn’t detract from the experience.
