I called and put in an order for delivery on a Saturday evening. The food was delivered very quickly, is very tasty and was prepared just as I requested. Satisfied customer.

Vegetarian options: I ordered vegetable lo mein with double vegetables and that just what was delivered.

This is the best Chinese food in Harlem or Washington Heights! It has become a go to for us for both a great dining experience, and even take out.

Went here based on reviews and regretted the choice. We had steamed dumplings and chicken fried rice. The dumplings were very plain. The chicken fried rice was nice and had good flavor. The worst thing was the service. Long wait times, although there weren’t many customers at the time, and had to remind our server to bring water. It just wasn’t up to par with other places to eat in the area.

Ate here on recommendation by family member who lives close. Easy access off #1 subway at 125th stop. Staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Menu was reasonably diverse but not extensive. Started with Xiao Long Bao with pork - excellent. Then had Pork Belly Ramen and Shrimp Lo Mein - both very good. Would recommend and will probably return on future visits.

If you love fresh made dumplings (pork, chicken or shrimp) and classic stir fried dishes, La Salle is the place to drop into on the upper west side. We wanted a simple lunch on a casual Saturday and stopped into La Salle -- a tiny, literal "room" with a friendly staff and honest, fresh-cooked food. The dumplings are simple and lovely - we especially enjoyed the shrimp ones, and were only sorry to not be able to eat more! We also savored the stir fried spicy diced chicken, simply cooked with red and green peppers in a lovely sauce -- huge portion -- with green tea. They also have bubble teas and other beverages. A classic sweet joint -- can't wait to return.

My husband and I came in for lunch and tried the chicken dumplings (not spicy) and the Dan Dan noodles. The dumplings were good, but the noodles were phenomenal. They have a savory, soft-spicy taste that compares to no other noodle dish I have tried. Not an exaggeration to say these are some of the best noodles I’ve ever had.

I finally went a restaurant with Chinese food as good as what I found in Beijing, Xian and Chengdu China. I started off with Seaweed Salad that was well-seasoned before having an entree of Shredded Beef with Chili. When you add to this the friendly ambience and attentive service, there is nothing to conclude other than we will be back.

A French surname for a Chinese cafe? It is clearly Asian Fusion that targets the American palette. Located outside the peripheral areas of Chinatown, this is in Harlem where I was en route home bound which enable me for a visit. I am not afraid of traveling near or far to enjoy good quality food. Asian Fusion is not my take as I prefer traditional authentic for a very old school approach because food looses its flavor, meaning, taste, seasoning, original ingredients, cultural origins, and significance in the conversion to modernization of Asian Fusion similar to language when translated from its original text to English. Lost in conversion or lost in translation. Lacquer chopsticks are provided in sustaining with authentic Asian cuisine dinning utensils. Ambiance is modern with high ceiling and wall is adorned with black and white photos of pre-war Shanghai. There is a bowl of Asian candy mints available for distribution at meal's end by the cashier/host table. Excessively overpriced for outside peripheral areas of Chinatown. All Chinese dumplings are 6 pieces per order as stated on their menu. Customer service is efficient and attentive who speak fluent English. I was able to keep my bill. Order fulfillment is efficient without waiting an eternity. Aside from overpriced, my experience was positive. Facilities are also modern Asian influence and relatively clean. The bottom of the bill embeds "suggested tip" of 15%, 18% and 20% ergo patrons do not have to calculate the arithmetic sequence. My foodie synopsis: Shanghainese soup dumplings 小籠包 xiao long bao (siu2 lung4 baau1) - 6 pcs, $9.95 Somewhat juicy and served piping hot. Average. Shrimp dumplings 蝦 餃 (haa1 gaau2) - 6 pcs, $9.50 Fresh and a delight. These haa1 gaau2 appears non-traditional as it contain vegetable chives.

My daughter raves about the dumplings so we had to try. Soup inside dumplings? Quite a novelty. I enjoyed my pork and kimchi soup dumplings but did not taste too much of the kimchi. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and the soup was not too hot. My wife and daughter had steamed pork dumplings and they tasted just like the pork and kimchi dumplings. We split a tray of pan fried pork dumplings. They were very good but a little too chewy. Our guest had General Tso Chicken. I did not try it. She said it was good and it looked well cooked and not oily. Service was attentive and we were never without water or having empty plates removed. Total cost for three dumpling orders, General Tso's, and two beers: $76. I am sure we will be back!

La Salle has two locations. We went to the one at 35 West End Avenue (between 61st & 62nd), a small and clean place with an interesting and comforting decor, a limited menu, and really good food. Xiao Long Bao with pork and kimchi were perfectly steamed with thin skins and a well-seasoned interior. Chicken dumplings with spicy vinaigrette are not especially spicy, but they should not be missed! An order of snow peas with cordyceps arrived as shredded and crispy snow peas with the right touch of sesame oil and other flavors—I could have eaten the entire order myself! A special preparation of cauliflower was enjoyable but probably a one-off for us as was the pork belly sandwich which needed additional braising to bring out the rich flavor of the meat. There were a lot of Seamless and Grubhub orders going out while we were there—so clearly this is a neighborhood favorite and for good reason. I'm looking forward to trying some of their noodle, rice, and tofu dishes. Can't wait to go back!

We went for the Pork Xiao Long Bao (aka "soup dumplings") and we were not disappointed. I don't know if they were quite on the level of Joe's Shanghai, but they were good. We had four orders between the five of us. The other dishes were fine, but not really memorable. The atmosphere is lively and fun. Would totally recommend, as long as you're sure to order the soup dumplings.

Visiting a local friend, she recommended this restaurant. We shared a plate if of chicken dumplings and found them delicious. I ordered the spicy chicken and although I was a little leery, the dish was delicious. Not the "shiny sweet" sauce that Americanized restaurants serve, but, a robust chili oil sauce. Our friend git a double yolk egg on her rice dish! The service was great and they were gracious with the baby stroller.

La Salle is a go-to place for those lucky enough to live nearby. They have an awesome selection of soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings as well as a limited but very well executed basic and a few unusual Chinese dishes. Definitely worth a try!
