We have on December 31st. Reserved at La Vela because of the good reviews for pizzas. When we arrived the waiter explained to us that there was no pizza today because it was New Year's Eve and they were offering a New Year's Eve menu. It's a shame, and that should have been on the yHomepage...! Well, we just ordered pasta. The main course was served when we hadn't even finished the starter, which we hate. The waiter just shrugged his shoulders, that's just how our kitchen is... The restaurant was almost empty at that time, so no reason to stress).
The best comes last: As we walked out, a wonderful pizza was served at the table next to the entrance!!!!!

Blown away about the service we received here. We were greeted immediately and the staff was really warm and welcoming. Felt really homey and definitely would recommend. Not to mention, the Food was so delicious. The starter bread they serve was so soft and the sauce they pair with it was “chefs kiss” . We got the carbonara and steak and twas prepared to perfection.

Worth the walk over to 42nd St & 11th Ave to get the best Neapolitan pizza and homemade pasta in NYC. Come find out why the neighborhood locals love this hidden gem Italian restaurant. The waiter is extremely friendly. He explains every detail of each dish as an expert. The starter bread was incredible, the pasta was so delicious, and steak that I ordered came out very tender with right temperature. Highly recommended for this place.

The pizza and wine are good, but small for the price. We were rushed out by the waiters at every step from ordering, and to finish which was not good, I understand they have to close but you can still be a little more polite about it. Overall not bad food, with a little work needed to be done by the service staff, and definitely overpriced for what it is.

I was there with their Plusd voucher , the food and service was ok , there is an orientate fee on the bill , both antree were a salty, octopus was a littler under cook . Tiramisu was tasty. . Antree is over priced
