Just had dinner here. Service was horrible and food was average. After 10 mins I had to get up and ask the host if we could have a server take our drink order. I have never had this experience. The rest of the night we basically were ignored except for when one time when the host came by and asked if we needed anything. We had no assigned waiter it was very unwelcoming vibe. Other than that we had to wave down someone for service. We will never go back. The food wasn’t good enough to compensate for poor service. Oh and a word of advice don’t order a spritz there is no alcohol in it. I had a bergamot spritz and it tasted like a sprite. So I ordered a Negroni that ended up costing $26. (Strangely though everyone seated outside happy hour had waiters attending to them frequently. Us in the dining room were basically ignored)

There for a birthday dinner. The risotto and a side of grilled shrimp as well as the branzino were delicious! Staff was very nice...enjoyable meal!

Important to note that this review is based solely on one HH experience- so not the most thorough of reviews upcoming.
What I want to say, first and foremost, is I want La Voglia to do well the UES location can be brutal on restaurant owners because of the lack of foot traffic, and general community clientele.
What stands out about La Voglia is the space. A beautiful open air dining room with seasonal Al Fresco seating perfect for grabbing a drink on a hot summer evenings.
My GF and I ordered a cocktail, glass of wine, and the tuna tartare. Beautiful plating on the tartare, that can be described as light and bright with good sauce work on the avocado puree. My mezcal cocktail was gorgeous, and very well balanced. I was worried when they brought it out and I noticed how bright it was, because I am not one for an overly sugary cocktail. This was far from that. The citrus notes paired well with the grassy, smoky flavors of the mezcal.
While our dining experience was minimal, the staff was great and the atmosphere was comfortable. We will definitely be going back for a full meal.

I’ve stumbled upon this place in my neighborhood through a recommendation to try spaghetti alle vongole. I have to say it’s really difficult to come across fresh authentic dishes involving seafood in New York City but this was definitely up there. My favorite highlights the truffle butter focaccia and tuna tartar with pistachio…wow. The place visibly speaks for itself , beautiful atmosphere and decor.

Food was ok but they asked us to change our tip from 18% to 20% for a table of 4 pp it felt extremely uncomfortable.

Chose it for convenience, steps from home. Expectations low, experience strong. Pasta well executed, cocktails excellent, fish solid. A reliable Upper East Side staple that does the basics very well. Among many Italian spots nearby, this one stands out. Surprising to find my go-to so close to home. Grateful to have it as a neighborhood fixture.

Stop by shortly to get a sweet afternoon treat. Coffee, crème brûlée, chocolate cake … will certainly be back for more meals to enjoy.

Terrible customer service. In the middle of taking my order the waiter began collecting the menus pretending to listen to my order and then comes around 5 mins later and asks me what did you order? Horrible!! Food 0
The bread they gave us was good, that was the only thing that was good. Do not recommend!
Instagram worthy place though

The food was good, I fear nothing special. The waiter was nice but he was doing a bit too much. I would love to sit down and enjoy my time with the person in front of me… not hearing him trying to sell us an appetizer which was greasy and just bland. I understand he is probably asked to do that but it makes me exhausted…
