So many dips! I felt like Martin Short in only murders in the building.Every part of the meal was great. We were a group of 10 and had the pre fixe menu. The red snapper skewers were my favorite part of the meal.If you've got a large group and want easy ordering Lamalo is the spot for you.

From start to finish this was an amazing dining experience. We shared dinner with a group of 10 and the service was impeccable. The meal started with an almost unlimited assortment of dips along with a few of their specialty cocktails. We then moved on to the main course that included 5 different types of skewers and generous portions of all the sides menu. Dessert included the mousse, tahini and coconut malavi. The staff was extremely attentive and our table was served by at least 5 different servers. Highly recommend Lamalo for an incredible dining experience.

Had a great dinner for a large group of ten. Food was delicious & full of flavors. Service was fantastic and somehow fit all of our ordered plates onto the table. Really recommend the chocolate mousse dessert!
Dietary restrictions: Even though the bread looked amazing, they had a gluten free option to still enjoy the variety of dips/spreads.

I’ve stayed at in this area a few times but never had eaten here and wow was I missing out! The dips and salads were tasty and authentic. The service was attentive without being disruptive. I was blown away by the high quality of their bread. I’ll definitely be coming back

This is a bread and dip lovers haven. Everything else is subpar. The skewers and sides (harissa chicken, lamb, salmon, potatoes, rice) were disappointing (portion size and taste). In contrast, the drinks and dessert were delicious. Service was good and space was cozy. I just wish the food was better. While I love instagrammable* food, I love good food even more.

Just had a board dinner there as a group. Wow the spread was amazing. All the dips maybe 13 or 14 with the bread to go along with it and then the skewers of meat and fish. It was a great experience but a lot of food. Was super impressed wine one of my fellow diners who packed some of the remaining food for breakfast and also to give away to the less privileged as there was no way to waste that food which was plentiful. All in all pints on all but recommend if the food will be exceed and august so. Excellent service right from the start to the end

Food is amazing and so well worth the price. It's extraordinary Mezze (dips spreads) and laffa bread. The grilled red snapper in grape leaves is amazing as are the shrimp skewers... Every spread is better than the last one. Loved the hummus and the artichoke spreads and beets and pickle plate. This place is tops in terms of Israeli / Middle Eastern food. Cocktails on the pricer side but food was reasonable for what you get....

Ordered the Why NotBaba ghanuj, hummus were average. Motbucha was too tomatoey (needed more peppers). Tahini, skardolia, labneh, zucchini, spinach artichoke, jerusalem salad, cauliflower salad were very good (the best tahini i have ever had, it was very thick). Fresh bread is very nice.Octopus skewer tasted delicious. Salmon skewer tasted very sweet to me and i did not like it. Potatoes side was nice but not necessary next time with all the spreads. This is a very fun place to take other people to. If i were to go alone, i would only order my favorite dips instead of the whole platter.Fantasric service too.
I’m on a diet and so I’m not currently eating any bread. While I was waiting for my chicken skewer, which was taking some time to arrive, I took 2 bites out of my girlfriends bread. They charged me $45 because I ate her food… which according to the manager is a violation of their terms and conditions. Literally just 2 bites. The manager acts like she is the Supreme Court enforcing the constitution of the US.As a recurring customer who has come over 8x here, I will never be coming back. It’s just strange behavior, as if the manager had simply had asked me to not eat any more of her bread, I would’ve obviously complied happily. But to straight charge me for that is just busybody behavior.

Went with a group of 4 to Lamalo for a friend's birthday. My friends both enjoy the salmon skewers and we all loved the majadra!I ordered the red snapper in grape leaves which was good but certainly could have been better. Grape leaves should be easily consumed and almost every other bite had stems in it. I also think the dish could have been further enhanced by adding red onion or tomatoes on the skewer, like they did for the salmon skewer. While the staff was friendly, great, atmosphere, the food was not "NYC caliber," so I will not be going back.

The service is amazing, really nice. The food is really bad, vegetarian shawarma is cauliflower and broccoli on a skewer full of oil and an excessive amount of spices and the craziest thing is that this skewer costs $19!!!!!! A miniature plate of hummus that is enough for half a person, is not worth the money! Expensive prices for dishes that are not worth it

Every salad and small plate (unlimited refills!) was fresher than the last and it’s tough to beat freshly fired bread from the oven. The service was friendly. Was sad I ran out of room in my stomach.

We came in looking for something different and were not disappointed. Because we were splurging for the day, went for the Lomalo Spread - spreads and breads + skewer and side. My girlfriend had the salmon skewer and mejadara while I went for the lamb kofta and basmati.First, the breads and spreads. If you go with the Lomalo spread, you get all 13 spreads (unlimited) and warm bread. We enjoyed all of the spreads except for the pickled ones - we tried them, and they are not bad - we just don't have the taste for pickled stuff very often. The hummus, Turkish salad, skordalia, babaganoush, and spinach and artichoke were our favorites. The bread is insanely good.I loved the lamb skewer, and the basmati was nicely seasoned and paired with toasted pine nuts - an unexpectedly delightful pairing. My girlfriend enjoyed the salmon but was not blown away by it - she and I did, however, like the mejadara very much. Now, the price. We spent way too much, but armed with what we learned about the food here, we could probably have put together a much more reasonably priced meal if we were to return. New York City has too many restaurants for us to guarantee a return here, but I enjoyed the experience a great deal - wonderful service and atmosphere.

Horrible experience!Atmosphere is sad and cold. Servers dont even understand you or know the menu.Menu is pretty much just snacks. It is not a dinner place. The spreads were terrible, skewers were the worst I have ever tasted. It is a fake attempt at being a food service establishment.Dont even try!

The heat is on - 2nd floor. Staff on 2 say no one is taking their request seriously. "They say the engineer was called...". Your expensive liquor is spoiling y'all. And guests are leaving. Your downstairs staff thinks it's funny. ----1------------
