I loved the penang curry with tofu. I got it medium spicy which was spicier than I expected but no worries. I love the curry

We tried three dishes: Kaw Soi Kai, Kor Moo Yang, and Sai Aua with Nam Prik Noom. The Kaw Soi Kai was outstanding — the soup was rich and intense in flavor, while the chicken was incredibly tender, as if it had been slow-cooked multiple times to perfection.
The Kor Moo Yang was our favorite overall: beautifully marbled pork, grilled to perfection, with a texture and flavor that made it unforgettable. The Nam Prik Noom tasted wonderfully authentic while the Sai Aua was flavorful but a bit too spicy for us.
Service here was just as memorable as the food. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. A special mention goes to Gig, our lovely waitress, who not only made excellent menu recommendations but also shared tips for local attractions.

Am I in Thailand and or the USA???? I can’t tell because the food was that amazing!! I went back for a quick second! The pad ka pow was amazing and the wings were to die for. Our sever May was the bomb and I will definitely be telling all my friends about it.

best short ribs around! (under chef’s specials). Egg yolk fries are also amazing. Special shoutout to Po’ki my server, she was amazing and very hospitable. I’ve been here more than once and the food is always fast, no matter how busy.
I dined solo this time and they were super accommodating despite having a small dining room

My friend and I ate here last saturday, and it’s safe to say it will be one of my favorite thai restaurants to come back to when I visit NY. It was my first time here, I ordered whatever I recognized in hopes that it would taste somewhat similar to my moms cooking. Needless to say, it surpassed my expectations. For one, I ordered the Curry Pastry, I am usually disappointed by these when ordering in other restaurants or even in Thailand, but these ones were even filled with Mozzarella and tasted so so good! The second thing I ordered was Tom Kha Gai, so creamy with so much flavour. Also, the Thai Iced Tea had me very satisfied.
The staff were very nice, and even speak thai. The restaurant itself has a cool casual speak-easy vibe to it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting authentic Thai Food in the middle of SoHo!
Thank you Team Lan Larb for this tasteful experience, hope to see you again soon!

We ordered the larb. First dish on the menu. It was spicy and delicious. The pad Thai was also excellent.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lan Larb Chiang Mai, and I can’t recommend it enough—especially if you’re craving bold, authentic Thai flavors done right. Two standout dishes that completely stole the show were the Cry Tiger and the Panang Curry.
The Cry Tiger was exceptional—tender, juicy grilled beef, perfectly marinated and served with a smoky chili dipping sauce that had just the right balance of heat and tang. The meat was cooked to perfection with that slightly charred edge that gives it so much flavor. It’s the kind of dish that keeps you reaching for more, bite after bite.
The Panang Curry was rich, creamy, and deeply flavorful. The coconut milk base was silky and well-balanced with the curry paste—not overly sweet, but full-bodied and aromatic. The meat was tender and generously portioned, and the fresh kaffir lime leaves added a fragrant, citrusy lift that rounded out the dish beautifully. It’s comfort food with complexity, and absolutely satisfying.
Service was warm and attentive, and the setting has that cozy, relaxed charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Chiang Mai, Lan Larb is a must-visit if you love traditional Thai food with real depth and soul.

It was fine. The service was good as was the drink I got but the food was just alright. They have a vegan menu but it’s very limited.

The waitress with short hair had a bad attitude and her hair was dyed. So there is no business for dinner
