Nice vibey spot with good music and ambiance. I loved the dim lighting. Perfect for a date. The place is kind of tight so get there early. They were very accommodating with my reservation and special request. Went on a Friday and there was a mixed crowd, primarily younger. The sorrel mule was a classic and my new fave. I ordered the jerk chicken egg rolls. It was okay. The sauces were the best part.

This place was recommended to us so we stopped by while in town for a conference. Bartender spilled syrup all over me and the bar, said nothing. No apologies, not even taking our order. Asked for a napkin and she wouldn’t even look at me, as though I spilled it. If you’re looking for good drinks and customer service, this isn’t it.

The bar is overpriced and not very good. I order pickup from here occasionally and the food is ok, but they cancel your order every time you try to order now. They don’t take pickup orders during their listed hours for pickup. Additionally, the food has been hit or miss. The patties are mediocre and the jerk is not very flavorful. Rice and peas is also bland and rice tastes instant. The employees tend to be rude and do not enjoy helping customers. They also do not answer phone calls. Very humid and hot inside as well. Would not recommend giving las lap any business.

Actually liked this place until my most recent unpleasant experience. Humidity in NYC is high and they told me no tanks — yet half of the girls in the restaurants are in tank tops? I’ll take my business elsewhere instead of dealing with inflated egos from bouncers in a random bar on the LES.
They literally let someone in with a jersey after I was denied entry but said they wouldn’t kick him out (due to not following their dress code that isn’t posted anywhere) because that would be “rude.”
Sorry Had to walk out- no AC, super hot and stuff Sucky way to start on a first date..

Las' Lap has a nice vibe to it. The downstairs has about 2 decent size tables and then I believe 2 side tables that seat 1-2 persons along with the bar. It can get kind of cozy in there, but they do have an upstairs seating area. I've visited various Caribbean food spots in the city and although this doesn't make my top restaurants list it's still a decent restaurant. The jerk chicken egg rolls were def my favorite and soO delicious. 5/5! I could go there and eat those alone with a delicious cocktail. The jerk chicken was also not bad, but I do wish that it had a bit more spice and flavor. The rice and beans were okay and felt as if they had been sitting out for a while (room temp) Overall, I think it's a nice place to stop by to have a few cocktails and apps before heading elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend coming with a big group as the place is quite small around the bar area. The staff is also friendly and the music was a vibe.
