Sometimes you keep a review in your pocket for a long time because you don’t want anyone in on the secret. Truth be told we’ve been visiting Panteras over a year pretty regularly. And as much as I like to dish out my opinions, I’ve felt reticent to divulge my feelings for this modest 2nd avenue haunt. It’s nothing fancy. The table layout barely makes any sense- to the point that they seem to not want more business. And as much as I’d like to keep this place private, I recognize they need to turn a profit and stay alive. The service is always exceptional and friendly. The margaritas are tasty and strong. The chips and salsa are perfectly good. Burritos, tacos, beans, quesadillas, salads are all really good. Their proteins rise above most other places from carne asada to carnitas. Nothing here is the best we’ve ever had but it’s all so damn good that when taken as a whole we find it hard to want to go anywhere else. We’ve been virtually alone every time we go to Panteras, which for us is exactly how we like it. It’s a selfish impulse and not very forward thinking. So here you go: you’re welcome.
They have happy hour during the weekend too! Amazing. The mojito was one of the freshest I’ve ever had. The frozen margarita was also very good!
Love Las Panderas Negra. Their food is great, service is good.
Very good service and the food is incredible ✨️
Consistently fantastic. Worth a trip, even if you don’t live in the neighborhood.

Food came out slow - ok - not in a hurry . People were good - very nice and the place was clean . I bought an Italian sandwich - the bread tasted good but was so hard my jaw got tired chewing so I only ate half . Goddess chick Cobb salad with what ever that dressing was weird - I thought I was guacamole and it was not. The red onions were all In A clump in the middle with “ bacon bits “ . Wasn’t good . Took it as take out but dined in with what I could eat .

Can't say enough about the food and staff. I wish I took pictures of the food because it was incredible. I went during happy hour with my wife who is from Colombia and my friend (Belgium) and his wife from El Salvador. We had a beautiful experience not only from the food but from the staff as well. We felt like we were home with family.

Wifey and I stopped in this weekend on a whim. The spot is quaint and cozy, not big, but not claustrophobic. We ordered Tacos al Pastor and a Mimosa for her and steak and eggs from the brunch menu for me. The food was very good, but the service was exceptional. The staff are super friendly and attentive. We have plans to go back this weekend when we're back in the neighborhood.
