I overall love Lavo. The calamari was a little powdery that night but it was still great. And the Caesar salad was fresh and crunchy. Very rarely do they disappoint and they're pretty much consistent. It was a great farewell dinner. I'll definitely miss the restaurant.

I've been to Lavo in Las Vegas a number of times, but this was my first time to the New York location. It was a nice place, food was delicious and service was good. Would definitely go back!

We made a reservation the same day and got a time spot. The food was outstanding and the service was very good! We got the pappardelle bolognese and the Seafood Alfredo (which the kitchen was kind enough to update to a vodka sauce - delicious). We enjoyed our dinner so much we returned the next night as well. Thanks to Lavo for two wonderful meals. We will be back.

We made a reservation with the intention of going to the disco. But the price was really high. I thought by having dinner at the restam the disco would be included in the experience. But it was not.

As I've noted, the food is really outstanding - and I am extremely critical in those areas. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow; really bad. The atmosphere is a little "casual;" more bar or bistro-like than not..

We celebrated my daughter's 22nd birthday, and Lavo didn't disappoint! Food was great, drinks were awesome - the bartenders were wonderful, and Jose took care of us! Will definitely go back!

Visited LAVO after a trip to Rockefeller Center and it did not disappoint. The food was great and so was the service. The meatball app and 20 layer cake dessert is absolutely worth trying. We'll be back for sure.

Had reservation for 715pm. We arrived at 706pm and checked in. We're not seated until 728pm. Several walk ins were seated ahead of us. When I spoke to the hostess, it was very apparent she forgot about us. She even forgot our name.

Wasn't a fan. Giant meatball appetizer was good but chicken parm that they're supposedly known for was so-so. Service was below average as the waiter routinely tended to the tables next to us but not us. We asked our leftovers to be boxed up and they threw them out. Manager was nice enough to offer up a brand new plate but said it would be out in 10-15mins and 30mins later it wasn't. I won't be going back

Good large venue with a variety of seating options. Comfortable decor. Excellent food, served on time and proper temperatures. Pleasant staff. Even other waiters responded to our needs.

The hostess was kind and very communicative. She gave us a great corner booth to enjoy the ambience. Fresh foccacia arrived to our table after we were seated, served with a marinara and 2 types of olives. Would recommend asking for the olive oil, it is a house blend and gives a great flavor to the already delicious bread. Beware of the salt shakers... they look like a peppermill and the sal comes out heavy and fast. Nick was our server and he went above and beyond. Very attentive, very polite and offered great suggestions on the menu. You can't beat the lunch special for $30. The portions are large and you could definitely split. Would highly recommend the arancini or Caesar salad and the veal paparadelle... pasta came out piping hot, aldente and the veal was tender. Would definitely recommend.

Based upon the reviews I had read, it appeared to be a fine Italian restaurant. I of course being the meat eater had ordered the prime rib. it was cook to perfection and had the flavor I expected, however, the dish lacked a starch and the vegetables were extra. I felt the cost of $14 for six stalks of asparagus, was excessive. My daughter had the penne ala vodka and though it wasn't stated on the menu, I asked if we can add chicken to the order. The server said yes, but when the order came, no chicken to was found. It took several minutes to rectify the order, and even then, neither of us were satisfied with the portion of chicken that was added. My wife had the salmon which by all appearances, was a beautiful looking plate that also lacked a starch and we shared my vegetable. Later on, she felt ill and the meal did not agree with her at all. We recognize that a finer restaurant would command a higher priced meal, and we're fine to that, but this was not a commercially branded restaurant claiming to be something it's not. The wine was far too expensive for my liking and we kept it to a minimum. We were intrigued with the nightclub being downstairs and considered trying that on a different occasion.

We were told practically after sitting down in the back of the restaurant ( after specifically requesting a table at the front of the house) that they were limited on the wine selection as they were closing their doors in a couple of weeks. Food was mediocre at best and the service was obviously not interested in being there. Overall a very unpleasant experience
