The food was good, but the portions were pretty small. The burger was solid though I wouldn’t say it was worth the money. The appetizer was interesting, and both the lamb and salmon were so good. I especially loved how they split the dish into two servings. And the dessert was amazing, super rich and chocolatey. They also had $4 per person for dining fee if you don’t sit in a bar and it reminded me of dining in Paris lol

I really wanted to enjoy Le B NYC, but ended up leaving disappointed. We recently saw her on Master Class and she went over her presentation and creation of her hamburger. My wife and I were really excited as we had planned on going to New York for a few days for some fun. Long story short we were less than impressed by the food. We arrived at 6pm and were the only ones there in the entire restaurant. The wait staff were great and always checked on us. My complaint is only on the food. You would think with only the 2 of us in the restaurant the chef could take her time to come out and see how we're enjoying the meal, but she only walked by us to check with the Maitra D. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but i feel it would go a long way. I like to see the Chef just look around and see if people are enjoying there prepared meal. The Bluefin Tuna was too salty, The hamburger was good, but not worth the price. Dessert was disappointing. I ordered the Passion Fruit Soufflé and was surprised on how quickly it came out. Normally should take around 20mins, but came out under 15mins. The souffle was just entirely goopy as it had not set. Overall not great as this was our least favorite experience in NYC.

I’m shocked this restaurant has stayed open. While dishes like the tuna crudo and the salad chinoise were enjoyable, our party of six experienced:
- A literal hour between courses for a total sit time of 4 and a half hours. We pleaded for the check at the end, but the staff delayed constantly, and instead gave us a free soufflé we didn’t ask for or want.
- Overly acidic cocktails that have posh ingredients but the assembly skill of a Marriott hotel bartender
- our server forgot about the bottle of wine we ordered for 45 minutes while it “decanted”. The second bottle was not decanted at all.
- the steak is dry, tough, and laughably bad for the price.
- the front of house service staff that read on ChatGPT what fine dining service looks like will spend more time pulling out your chair for you, topping off your wine, or folding your napkin rather than actually tending to the the base fundamentals of dining service

I kid you not, after we asked the server, host, and bartender for the check, they each disappeared into the kitchen to not be seen again. Half our party had to leave part way through our meal due to other obligations.

I can’t in good faith recommend anyone dine here at this price point.

Le B is a place you should take someone you want to know more about. The incredible level of each dish is just a joy. If Chef Angie B walks by your table get up to meet her. You may want to have bragging rights later.

So far my best restaurant in New York.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Their attention to detail and service was world class. Loved their decor, atmosphere and most importantly the food. The chef sent out complimentary hors d’oeuvres- the Onion Nancy with pommes soufflé because the wait for my order would take a while due to how I wanted it cooked. It was incredible. Light and fluffy and a great pairing with the crisps. I continued with the lamb chops. I can’t even describe how tasty that dish was. So well cooked with a delicious sauce.

I was actually there for the burger and let me tell you, there’s no better burger in New York. Scrumptious. No other words can describe it. I’m not sure why it isn’t more raved about than the likes of 4 Charles.

I finished with the crepes Suzette which was wonderfully prepared table side. Listen, if you’re thinking about dining here, DO IT. You’ll have no regrets. 10/10. Actually cannot wait to go back.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here last night and everything was excellent. I should say, beyond excellent. Yes, it is a really pricey restaurant, even for NYC, even for a fine-dining spot. But every bite we ate was truly memorable (and this is coming from foodies who’ve dined all over the world), and service was attentive, polite and old-school. We were skeptical after reading some reviews but we were treated with utmost courtesy. They even went above and beyond for certain things. I was unhappy with our initial table and they changed it, with a smile. Even though we didn’t order dessert, the chef sent out something amazing in celebration of our special day, on the house. The sommelier guided us towards a most delicious bottle of red, and the burger was impeccable. We ordered a la carte and found the portions to be perfectly sized. I’m sure they are much smaller for the tasting menu, but why would you want big portions for a 6+ course meal? Bonus points for their lovely china. All around outstanding. Thanks, Le B!

My boyfriend and I booked this dinner to celebrate our three year anniversary and moving in together. We were so excited to go as it is restaurant week and this is a great opportunity to try a restaurant that would normally be out of our price range. We scoured open table, resy, the restaurant week website, and the Le B website to see if there were any details on certain dates being excluded etc but found nothing. A couple hours later we received a confirmation text and my boyfriend messaged confirming that we would be able to order from the restaurant week menu to which we were told no. We immediately called to try and remedy the situation and see if there were any other options. We were met with a very cold attitude despite calmly trying to explain our confusion about the restaurant week menu. The woman on the phone told us any changes to the reservation would result in a $250 charge PER PERSON. We asked if there were any other solutions or anything we could do as the restaurant week menu aspect wasn’t clearly communicated on either open table, resy, or the Le B website. The person on the phone very quickly told us in a stern voice “it is on the NY tourism guide website”. Meanwhile this information is buried in two subpages under learn more…not easily found unless at all. As we calmly tried to ask what our options were we were accused by the woman on the phone of trying to STEAL BUSINESS from the restaurant and harm the wellbeing of their employees and directly take money from them by canceling our reservation?! I then had to calm the woman down and reassure her we were trying to come to a mutually beneficial solution where her staff was able to get a customer tonight who would be able to spend much more than my boyfriend and I would while we would be fine rescheduling the reservation to a night when the restaurant week menu was served. After going back and forth a couple more times the woman then continued that we were stealing business and that this change was disrespectful because they had a “waitlist for the table we booked”. Meanwhile, we had booked the table maybe two hours prior and there were still tables available every 15 minutes on resy and OpenTable. The woman then resorted to trying to guilt trip my boyfriend and I into keeping the reservation asking about why we wouldn’t be able to come tonight and prying as to why the restaurant week menu was so important - putting us in an INCREDIBLY uncomfortable position and forcing us to explain that we were both in our mid 20s and this restaurant would typically be out of our price range. At this point in the interaction I am fully crying on the phone due to the sheer lack of understanding and human decency. Only after I was crying and clearly upset and uncomfortable did the woman finally agree to move the reservation to next week for a night when the restaurant week menu is available. Right before hanging up she revealed that she was actually THE OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT. The entire interaction was incredibly immature, not accommodating, rude, accusatory, and off-putting. To find out this was coming from the owner of the establishment put an incredibly bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say we will be giving the reservation to a friend of ours as this entire customer service experience cannot be remedied by even the best food.

Food was amazing and the staff were so nice but the wait time was a lot. I try to never complain but the dinner for two courses and dessert, took over 3 hours and we waited for the majority of it. Either way, incredible food and amazing atmosphere. If you go, you have to get the seafood Wellington, it was INCREDIBLE.

Not a great experience.
When I arrived and told the bartender that I had a reservation for dinner, she clicked on the iPad, asked for my name and said: “for Le B?” This was out right rude. She did see my name.
We went there for restaurant week, they automatically added 20% as large party gratuity though there’re only 2 of us. Then they said restaurant week can’t be paid by InKind. The restaurant manager (I guess) said that he voided the charge and that I needed to pay the restaurant directly. I asked for an email to make sure he actually voided the first charge because I don’t want to be charged twice. He said would email me. I was sitting there waiting. Then he said he’ll email me the next day. I asked if he could email me today. He said yes. I still haven’t received the email by the time the restaurant was closed.
Also, we asked to pack the leftover to go. They never brought that back to us. We left the restaurant and realized we didn’t have the food. We had to go back to the restaurant to ask for it.

Every dish was a gastronomical delight! Elegant, romantic and quiet atmosphere that enveloped you in comfort so you could focus on the whole foodie experience. We need to come back for the burger - looked amazing! The service was excellent everyone was so welcoming and helpful but the Maitre D Gabrielle was outstanding !

I cannot in good faith recommend eating at this restaurant. Staff are unwelcoming, the menu is outrageous even by NY standards, and in spite of the website insisting that you can only have the burger at the bar, those at tables were also eating the burger? Manhattan is blessed to have many wonderful restaurants and sadly this is not one of them. If you are looking to try and iconic burger, there are much better options

my friend and i went to Le B for dinner, i see why they have such low rating. the price was crazy high for what they offered.
the lack luster service was disappointing. we got the $62 burger, i’ve had much better burger elsewhere , hen and lobster $140, all we tasted was chicken, it’s not awful but not amazing either. overall it was an average dining experience, definitely not worth $522 + tip.

We came in for restaurant week and this was such an incredible experience! We ordered an extra app based on reviews saying the portions were small but I don’t think it was necessary. I was stuffed by the end of the meal! The squash blossom was sooooo good. I can’t stop thinking about it. The strawberry soufflé?! Also delicious. A great value for restaurant week! We agreed to come back to try the burger another time :)
