Of the five 3-star Michelin restuarants currently located in NYC, Le Bernardin is by far my favorite. I honestly cannot believe it took me so long to make a reservation. This restuarant represents the epitimany of fine dining in NYC. Not only are the menus relatable and customizable, but the staff is AMAZING! And when I say "the staff", I mean everyone who works there - from the hosts who welcome you the moment you walk in, to the sommeliers who help you select your wine pairings and the servers who clear the table in between each course - EVERYONE helped tranform my already great solo evening into an extraordinary one. Upon being seated you are presented with a menu book containing 3-4 options. The fact that this resturant allows their diners to customize their evening vs only serving one pre-fix menu is already a plus for me. This particulary evening I was blessed to be assisted by the floor manager and my assigned sommelier one after the other. Without them working together in unison I am not sure my meal would have been so seamless. Come to find out, each night a minimum of 4 sommeliers are working the floor - which given the size of the main dining room I understand why. However, even with the large size of the dining room I never felt alone - there was always a team member near by checkin on me. Next is the food - and may I say OH MY GOD - THE FISH & THE SAUCE!!!! I now understand what I have heard for years around Le Bernardin offering the best fish + sauce pairings in NY because if it werent for the buttery brioche I used to clean my plate with I would put the bowl up to my mouth and drank the leftover sauce like cereal milk. The seasoning/salt levels on all dishes was perfect - I never once needed to add salt to anything. Wish I could have ordered more than one appetizer for while the one I ordered was good (the carpaccio), it didnt quite hit the spot. However all other dishes served that evening were phenonemal, including the desserts. Overall I have no problem labeling this a near-perfect fine dining experience. The slightly old school french ambiance paired with the insanely talented/kind staff and addicting sauces guarantee I will be a repeat customer. Please note that what would make it "perfect" has nothing to do with the food/staff/ambiance but more so my personal determination in figuring our which dish selection is best for me - which I have no doubt I will figure out after another trip or two to Le Bernardin. So for those seeking a truly memorable NYC evening, look no further. Reservations are crucial and should be booked the moment the reservations become available online.

The restaurant delivers a refined and memorable dining experience, with a carefully crafted menu where each dish stands out in both flavor and execution, especially the seafood, which truly sets a high standard. The tasting menus are well balanced, the techniques are precise, and everything is presented in a bright, welcoming space. We were seated at a lovely table at the back, which enhanced the experience, and the wine selection is extensive and thoughtfully chosen. The hosting and overall coordination were excellent; however, the table service felt slightly formal and mechanical, lacking the warmth one might expect at this level. Despite that, it remains an impressive restaurant that deserves advance reservations.

The salad was tasty and also refreshing. The tuna and salmon dishes were delicious. Also, what stood out was the amazing service. The staff was attentive and ensured that we enjoyed our meals.

This is the absolute best restaurant I’ve eaten at from East to west. I’ve been back seven times and it has never disappointed. It’s always first class service first class food preparation and presentation. Eric is the master.

The food is amazing. We did the full Menu option and loved and enjoyed every thing on it. Amazing food. The place is great and we had a great table at the back. The only reason why not 5 stars is that for this league you'd expect the service to be more chatty but it was a little robotic as in this is what it is enjoy bye. The service of the hosting and all other functions was great.

Terrible service made our dining experience feel incredibly unwelcoming and food was mediocre and overly salty. Can’t believe it’s rated 3 Michelin star, I’d suggest spending your money and time elsewhere.

My husband and I went here my birthday dinner. We booked immediately upon reservations opening up and luckily, we snagged a table for 5 pm. Business casual dress-up is required. You have the option between a prie fix menu or tasting. I had the seafood tasting menu while my husband had the vegetarian truffle tasting menu. The tasting menu consists of 8 courses. Along with the 8 courses, you get bread and the amuse-bouche. I really enjoyed my tasting menu. While not super amazed by the taste of anything, I felt all the dishes complimented each other very well. My husband did not enjoy his as much. Service was great. We were stuffed. They gave me a free desert for my birthday.

A benchmark for seafood, pairing flawless technique with a bright dining room and precise service. Balanced tasting menus and a deep wine list refined without fuss. Book well in advance.

Four of us went to dinner at Le Bernardin, and the experience lived up to its world-class reputation. Everyone at the table was ecstatic with their food — every course was beautifully presented and flawlessly prepared. The tuna with foie gras was absolutely incredible — rich, silky, and perfectly balanced. The salmon with caviar was another standout, showcasing the restaurant’s signature precision and creativity. The Dover sole was well-cooked and delicate, though it was probably the least memorable dish of the evening compared to the others. Overall, it was a phenomenal dining experience with impeccable service and refined flavors — definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates fine seafood and exceptional technique.

This was our first visit and it lived up to our expectations. The staff were fantastic, sophisticated, light and very helpful. Their selection of dishes were exquisite we ordered a la carte and shared them. Each one was perfection. Bravo

No creativity, paying the price of this restaurant for the received experience if for people that is no well known of what a Michelin experience is about, definitively no a good restaurant from someone well travelled

So this is what three Michelin stars gets you? At Le Bernardin the waiters seemed to think they were auditioning to be my new best friends. Casual, chatty, almost buddy-level service — which might work at a wine bar downtown, but at a restaurant that’s supposed to be world-class it felt completely out of place. And the food? Yawn. Nothing stood out, nothing surprised me. The menu feels like it was laminated sometime in 2010 and they’ve just been running the same dishes through the printer ever since. Cookie cutter course after cookie cutter course, safe, predictable, and honestly kind of boring. Michelin must be on autopilot with this one. If this is what qualifies for three stars, then maybe they need to borrow a star or two from places that are actually alive and innovative. Disappointing doesn’t even cover it. Picture of my cost token because it’s more interesting than dishes I was served

Meeting family from around the world we were looking for a special restaurant. Not sure we met the brief. Having been lucky enough to visit many great restaurants around the world it is hard to understand how this one has three stars. Everything was lacklustre, the service… staff reaching over guests to serve, the food… I couldn’t tell you about an exceptional course, the ambiance… basically a large noisy restaurant. It’s difficult to work out whether expensive restaurants are ‘worth it’ but if I leave thinking ‘that was amazing’ then perhaps I can justify it. This restaurant was not amazing.
