I stopped here for a quick breakfast before heading into the MET. The location is fantastic for museum visits. The sandwich I ordered was very good, fresh and flavorful. However, the portion size was a little smaller than I expected for the price. Overall, it's a solid, reliable choice for a quick and tasty bite, just be prepared that it might be a brief stop!

Awful food, long wait times, bad service. Just a terrible experience from the register all the way up to management.

The most important part first: there are two nice clean restrooms. If you are traveler or tourist who needs a restroom in the Upper East Side, this is a good option. I am giving the review more stars out of appreciation of the restroom. In NYC, it’s a big deal.
My dining experience at this location however wasn’t great. Service was really, really, really slow. A server didn’t approach our table to say hello until we were seated for 20 minutes and I gave a glance. She didn’t return with water for another 15 minutes and the quiche and salad we ordered didn’t come for another 30 minutes after that. I don’t think it’s because they were preparing and baking the quiche fresh in the back. Ordered salad with two changes — neither were met. At least the server was honest — “I can return it and ask them to fix it but it may take a really long time for the next one.” I appreciated her honesty and ate around the dressing I asked for on the side. Would I go back? Probably. But not too hungry and with low expectations.

Got charged more for a wrong item, i asked for the correct item, which was given to me with no refund, and it was so stale I threw it out.
The pistachio/apricot pie is delicious as well as the pain au chocolat. Their signature hot drink honey ginger is always good. Staff is great.

Extremely disappointed with the service. It took over 40 minutes just to get a simple coffee, and even then, I practically had to serve myself—no sugar, no napkins, no spoon. I had to ask three different staff members before anyone even acknowledged my order. The level of disorganization was shocking.
What made it worse was how the person in charge at the time handled our feedback—completely dismissive and uninterested. It’s unacceptable for a café to show such disregard for basic service and customer experience.
For this level or service you better go to the starbucks in front.

Came here for breakfast before going to The Met. Almost 20 bucks for coffee and oatmeal. Staff were nice.

Ive been to several locations. This one seemed to be grossly understaffed Food was great as usual but the wait on ordering and checking out was a bit extreme. Hire more servers or offer better pay to improve this location. 2nd or 3rd time I was at this particular one in my life.
