We came here to celebrate my 30th birthday this past week, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond — the manager kindly put our flowers in water, and they graciously stored our cake in the fridge and served it after dinner.

The restaurant was quiet for a Tuesday, which we actually loved since we were a large group. The food was incredible — beautifully prepared and full of flavor — and the service was just as exceptional. Our server was warm and attentive, the bartender made fantastic cocktails, and the chef personally served our dishes and even came out to sing happy birthday!

It’s rare to find a restaurant in this area that shows such genuine care and attention to their guests. Such a special spot — we all left so happy and impressed. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Walked in off the street as it looked cute. Waited over 30 min for a drink that never came. A non alcoholic easy to make iced tea. Seems like only one bartender was there for a busy Sat brunch hr. We even saw him signal to the hostess to stop seating, a request which was promptly ignore by her. We ended up cancelling our food order based on the fact there was still no sign of drinks. Seems like they are no prepared to handle a busy rush

Last week I went to dinner at Le Petit Village and I'm still thinking about it. It felt like a little escape to France in the heart of the West Village. The cozy, candlelit setting was the perfect backdrop for a five-course tasting menu experience with French wine pairings guided by a guest expert sommelier.

The Poached Halibut with asparagus and caviar was light and elegant (my favorite), while the Wild Mushroom Ragu with truffle was deep and comforting. The Duck à L’Orange featured Hudson Valley Rohan duck breast cooked perfectly, with crisp skin and a touch of citrus that tied it all together. Usually, I don't like duck but this I would go back for 10 times over.

Dessert was a highlight: Vanilla Bean Custard with raspberries and shiso, paired with a golden glass of La Reserve du Baron Sauternes that ended the evening on a luxurious note.

Le Petit Village captures the spirit of a Parisian dinner party right in the West Village, with refined flavors, warm service, and a sense of old-world charm that lingers long after the last sip.

Very mixed bag

Ambience was fantastic, food was good, drinks were eclectic but overall good
Service was .. interesting
I will start with the positives. The manager (I think - gentleman in a suit) was very kind and welcoming. Younger man with blonde sorta curly hair and earrings (bartender or bar back or something) was SO nice. These two people made our experience great.

The negatives
Our server, Julia, seemed disinterested in us after we didn’t order ‘large’ entrees - we were there to have a few rounds of drinks, not eat a multi course meal. After ordering she said ‘THATS IT?!’ Yes, ‘that’s it’ after several drinks per person and entrees! She basically ignored us after ordering. She was generally not friendly, made us honestly feel a little awkward/not welcome. When we tried to get the bill it took forever, we asked several people before finally getting it.
The busser/ server assistant was not nice either. Instead of being polite, she rudely asked if we were going to order more , or we’d have to leave?! We explained we were still waiting on drinks we’d ordered a few minutes prior, but she still pushed to clear our plates in a way that felt dismissive and rushed. She rudely asked if we were done, to which we said ‘I guess?’ And she quickly cleared our plates.

Overall, the service felt dismissive and uncomfortable. From the service it seems like this is the sort of restaurant you should go to if you are going to order several course meal, ordering an entree and drink per person is not enough!

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the quality of the drinks, and the great service of the manager/other employee, I would give it 0 stars.

The French onion soup hit like a warm hug. Deep flavor, melty cheese, that little crunch on top. The place had this golden evening glow, and the waiter joked about how “no one leaves hungry here.” He wasn’t wrong.

Very nice spot, professional charming staff, nice offerings. We had oysters and the charcuterie board at happy hour, and some really wonderful super tasty mixed cocktails. really delish. Outdoor space, so you can bring your doggies! Have not tried the full menu yet, but plan on it.

New spot in a prime West Village location with a really beautiful interior — two floors (though the second floor isn’t always open). We came here for brunch and the food was decent, nothing extraordinary but enjoyable. The vibe and decor are definitely the highlights, super cute and stylish.
They also have a nice bar, so it’s a great place to grab a drink and hang out. Worth checking out for the atmosphere!

My wife is super lit, so she's the one who usually picks where we go to eat. I was thoroughly impressed by this place throughout the whole dinner. This is how I want all my NYC nights out to start. Pricy 💸 but perfect Ambience, music, location, etc. Very attentive staff, but not TOO attentive. The drink I ordered was perfect, as was the Sourdough French onion soup. We split the steak au poive + Halibut family style (both 10s 🤌🏼). The details and Confluence of all the little things put it over the top. Le Petit has me hugely impressed. Will be back
