A Top Notch Dining Experience! Our family of 5 enjoyed the delicious brunch, efficient & friendly service, and reasonable cost. The pancakes, hamburger and paparelle with rabbit ragu were outstanding! I highly recommend Leon’s

Superlative, and above all unique and intentional restaurant. An utter godsend for the Union Square area, one starved of a true high quality establishment for what felt like ages. The space is formidably luminous at all times of the day which makes me want to keep ordering food and wine.

All proteins, fruits grains and vegetables purchased from exceptional farms at the nearby Greenmarket. You will taste the purity of the sourcing in every dish and in every glass of wine, which is another fulcrum of the place. Drink a good (and well priced) quartino or bottle and order the sensational fritto misto and later, the lamb and the pigs head or anything you fancy, it’s all good.

A huge congratulations to the entire team, bravissimi Chef Nick, Natalie, Tony, Drew and Connor!!!

Nice experience overall. The food was good. The menu is kind of half Egyptian food and half Italian . We ordered a bit of both and we ended up liking more the Egyptian dishes. Falafel (Taameya) was especially good. Service was warm and the ambiance was excellent. Lots of space between tables and the place is very nicely decorated.

BURGER TRUGS

spacious, airy, and flooded with natural light, leon’s is a welcoming getaway in union square. michelin-star level attention to detail, without the pretentiousness

LAMB BURGER on toasted sesame-ciabatta topped with garlic-chili shatta and tahini recalibrated my expectations of what’s possible. this is the best non-beef burger i’ve ever had, full stop. there’s plenty of good-not-great non-beef burgers, but leon’s lamb patty can hold its weight with the city’s elite. the egyptian carrot fries are thick and dazzled in an array of spices that are complemented beautifully when drenched in their citrus aioli

day, or night, the egyptian and french accents thoughtfully weaved into this italian restaurant flat out works. kudos to the nick + natalie for another knockout restaurant + impeccable service (i couldn’t imagine running one restaurant with my wife, let alone TWO). grand-pappy leon is smiling down on this one

5/5 experience from start to finish. Incredible, well seasoned food. Everything was cooked to perfect temperature. And the space has the grandeur of a Midtown flagship, but it’s conveniently located on 12th St.

Kudos!

Cute but the food is below average. Trader Joe’s frozen food is better

Came here for a party after a baptism for our cousins. Service was beyond perfect. The attentive nature and kindness exuded by everyone was amazing. Food like the service was also phenomenal. Can’t recommend any more highly.

Loved everything about this place. Menu makes it easy to eat light or heavy, standards or more adventurous. Great cocktail and wine list. Staff is top notch, and the space is beautiful. 12 out of 10!

Service was great! We ordered the Gorgonzola and olives to start. The cheese came with roasted almonds and a date. Cheese was delicious. Husband got the cacio e pepe and I got the caprese ravioli. The cacio e pepe was okay, but the noodles did taste/feel like store bought spaghetti I could have made at home. We are always looking for new places in NYC to try cacio e pepe and have tried a lot. This one was very average but appreciated that it wasn’t drowning in oil. The ravioli was delicious! It comes with 3 ravioli, I opted to get a fourth. It had a lemony vibrant flavor and the tomato sauce was very fresh. I ate all of it. Bathroom was clean.
