Bagels are always fresh and they’re not heavy and full you like crazy… chai is a kiss from the breeze
sausage/egg/cheese 👌🏻
Loved the vibes of this little window bagel spot we stumbled upon in NY. So far, the best bagel we’ve had on this trip!
Tried the bacon, egg, and cheese it was good, but could’ve used a sauce or spread to bring it all together. A bit on the dry side. Prices are definitely on the higher end. It was pretty busy when we went, with a steady line at the window. Overall, a solid 4/5.
Ordered 2 dozen assorted bagels and 3lbs of cream cheese. All bagels tasted stale and day old. Dry and stiff. Really disappointing.
Might be THE BEST BAGELS EVER?!? Recently tried the Molly tea collaboration with Leon’s bagels and it did not disappoint. The bagel was warm and crispy and the jasmine tea cream cheese paired well with it. You know it’s good when it’s always busy with lots of people lining up. Will definitely be back!
Every time I crave a bagel, Leon’s is my go to! There’s no bacon egg and cheese that comes close to Leon’s. Skip the wait and order online. Also don’t forget to add the chili crisps!!
The sausage, egg, and cheese bagel with mayo and ketchup is an elite combo! It gave me a very much worth it salt headache after. Every bite was amazing. Prob the best breakkie bagel I've had in recent memory. They are very generous with the cheddar so you get a beautiful pull, and I love it because you can actually taste the cheese in the bite and not just see it (what a waste otherwise, no?) Would go back again every time I feel hyponatremic.
Highly recommend ordering online ahead. Very cute storefront but since they make your order with care, prepare to wait at least 20 min.
Lovely place!
First Bagel in New York! Just one word: delicious. We had the classic bacon and egg cheddar and the salmon one. Big crush on the salmon one. The prices are affordable for New York, for the quality of the products and the size of Bagels!!!🥯

Got there. Took my place at the back of a good sized queue. The queue moved quickly and I was soon greeted by a smiley fellow, keen to take my order. Got the Everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese, and with trepidation (NY I love you, but your coffee can be a little hit and miss.) an espresso.
Coffee was sensational! Bagel was perfection- crispy bacon, gooey cheese and a perfectly cooked almost tomago type egg- nice touch.
Been in the States for 6 days and have experienced a lot of good food and bad coffee, so Leon’s getting things so right was a pleasure to behold. Will be back!!!

This is one of the viral bagel shops in New York, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Nestled on a quiet side street, it’s a charming little stand with just enough space to stand and enjoy your bagel. The location feels quintessentially New York—off the beaten path yet buzzing with the promise of something extraordinary. And extraordinary it is—the bagels are nothing short of amazing.
The bagels strike the perfect balance in texture. The exterior has a delightful crunch that gives way to a soft, pillowy interior. It’s the kind of bite that makes you stop and savor each moment. The cream cheese, often the make-or-break for a bagel, is flawless. It boasts the ideal consistency—not too soft to be runny, yet not overly firm. It spreads beautifully and complements the bagel without overpowering it.
Their bagel with lox is a must-try. At just $13, it’s priced perfectly for the quality you’re getting. Every element, from the freshness of the lox to the seasoning of the bagel, feels meticulously crafted to deliver a top-tier experience. You’re not just buying a bagel; you’re indulging in a small piece of bagel heaven.
Though the stand doesn’t have seating, the simplicity of standing outside, bagel in hand, and soaking in the urban atmosphere adds to its charm. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a local, even if you’re just passing through.
In summary, this shop delivers everything you could want from a New York bagel and more. From the taste and texture to the ambiance and price, it’s a five-star experience that I’d recommend to anyone in the city. One of the best bagels I’ve ever had—unquestionably deserving of its viral reputation.

Amazing bagel sandwiches and super friendly staff. You can tell they have a loyal following. Small sidewalk facing shop. No seating inside, so bundle up if it is cold, it is worth it!

Leon's Bagels is always my go-to spot on my frequent trips to the city. The storefront has a classic, cozy green aesthetic. The bagels themselves are clearly top-notch - golden brown, perfectly chewy, and piled high with an array of tasty toppings. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is legendary. Beyond the food, Leon's also has a great selection of merch that's worth a look. It's clear the owners take pride in cultivating an inviting atmosphere and providing an exceptional bagel experience. Whether you're a local or visiting the city, Leon's Bagels is a true New York institution that lives up to the hype.
