Server was delightful and the best part of the visit. The Moules-frites were so very disappointing it overshadowed the rest of the experience. No flavor in the sauce, mussels themselves were a bit mealy, and the fries were limp. Lamb burger was passable but at least had flavor. We decided to take home crosissants which was a saving grace - easy to warm in the overn the next day. Would go back for a wine and pastry but not for dining.

The steak frites was tasty, the steak was properly cooked, but it was a bit grisly. The service was great, as always, the restaurant is a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

My family had a very pleasant meal here on a Saturday night, when the restaurant was very full and lively. And yet our server was super prompt and attentive, got all of our complicated order perfect, the food was delicious, and everyone was very happy. I hadn't been here in a while, and am really glad we chose L'Express, which has been around for a long time. We love this cozy neighborhood restaurant and hope it stays around forever!

Blow away by this place, food was amazing, looking for something unique, the frogs leg and cassoulet was unexpectedly fabulous (who else has frog legs like Paris)as well as the latte, I am a coffee snob, but this latte was way above what I expected and I have high expectations- highly recommend, btw it’s Kolbrick coffee NYC brew

The food was wonderful! The ambience is true upscale bistro so it's not possible to possible to have less noise or more space for the guests and staff.
