A delightful small Turkish restaurant specializing in gourmet food at a very reasonable price including accompanying drinks to augment you meal. All dishes are good and while the portions are not enormous, they are sufficient. You do not need to take home food to enjoy a good meal.

Skip it. The food and cocktails were bland. The bartender was clearly not interested in making good drinks or providing welcoming service. We ordered several dishes and they arrived at the table within minutes of placing the order, which made it difficult to enjoy and suggests it wasn't made to order.

Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try Leyla!
Beautiful, cozy, romantic vibes with plenty of seating, comfy chairs, and cute decor. Very friendly and quick waitstaff too.
They do a fabulous happy hour deal - 3 dips and a drink for $25 🤯 Had the spinach yorma, muhammara, and atom - all three were great, but the standout was definitely the muhammara; the atom had a nice kick to it too. Ordered a glass of Turkish red wine as a part of the deal.
We also got the 3 Cheese Pide - SO good! Lovely bit of truffle taste, delightful light crunchiness, and the cheese mix was superb. The chicken sandwich was good too, but the fries were excellent.
Can’t wait to come back!

The manager and owner as well as staff were very accommodating. They were able to seat a group of 7 in less than 10 minutes. We did not have a reservation.

Not the best-run restaurant on the UWS, but the back garden is pretty and the food is excellent. Friends told us to order the pide (Turkish flat bread), which we did--truly good Vegetarian Pide, Vegetarian Manti, Zuchini salad, and Falafel. Poor service--the waiter kept looking at his phone and disappearing. It was a lovely evening so we were happy to sit in the garden while he forgot about us. But we felt bad for the crowd of people outside waiting to come in.

I was very excited to try this place, for months I had this in a list of “must try”.
My disappointment cannot be described!
I have a gluten allergy, and they didn’t have any good options for me. Which is odd for Turkish food (I grew up eating Turkish food).
The most disappointing and rude encounter was when I asked about the “risotto” to which the server said it was not Gluten free, then made it a point to come back to tell me, “just a reminder they risotto is made from pasta!” If anyone knows anything about risotto, they know that the base ingredient is RICE and rice is gluten free.
Not only did they have limited options, they were also rude with misinformation.

Highly disappointing!

The whole experience was fantastic – from the water to the cocktails, and the hummus to the octopus, everything exceeded expectations.
