Zhongzhong Noodles - Roosevelt Island

Counter order place. Not great for large groups, but good for small groups of 2 or less.

Food was really good! Soup dumplings and mapo tofu were great!

Off bat my takeout order didn’t come with egg (even though egg is shown in the picture) so I had to boil my own. Soup base itself was a little watery and honestly kind of flavorless. I get I got the vegetarian option but it just feels like the broth was made without any seasoning though the tomato taste is really strong. Unfortunately, I’ve had better hot pot for less money; and that was deep in Manhattan. Also like where are the noodles? The wood ear mushrooms were pretty good but, again, I’ve had better. I also paid extra for crab meat just to not get it. I've been diligently trying to find the best hot pot in NYC and honestly, this might be the worst ive had in my search. Overall, I’d give it a 3.5/10

Have ordered here in the past and had issues. Decided to retry today and found a beetle in my vegetables. This is now the second time I've had bugs in my food from this restaurant. Will not return.

The staff working here deserve a raise. From the cashier to the cook, everything is done with care and pride for their food. When there’s no seat and I had to take away, they always make sure the food are well packaged and stay hot. My regular Chinese food on Roosevelt island

Got the hot pot and found a bug in my broccoli.

Used to get this delivered regularly until i found worm in my food. Really sucks because they are small and almost hidden in the red broth

This noodle is fantastic, delicious chicken soup and great noodle. The service is also wonderful. Love to come again!

I was in the store on 2024, Oct 11, at 7PM, I greeted the staff nicely and asked him if I could order now. He rudely replied without even looking at me "Don't you see that I am busy packing up orders?" I said "Okay, how long do I have to wait then?" And he didn't reply even though he heard me. The back kitchen was pretty chill so he could take my order and the kitchen could start working on it but he just kept packing online order and totally ignored me and let me standing there for a good 20min...In the end I just left. I will never go to the store again if the I see the worker still works there

I arrived at this store at 7:40 PM, and their listed closing time is 8:00 PM. At first, the young lady at the counter said they were only offering takeout, and I agreed, saying I would take a look at the menu. However, an older lady inside suddenly said they were closed and were no longer taking any more orders. I pointed out that they had initially said takeout was available, and their business hours were not yet over. The older lady, with a very bad attitude, kept repeating, "We're closed, we're closed." She even forced me to leave. It's unbelievable ?. With service like this, I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. I will also leave reviews on Chinese social media platforms like Xiaohongshu to share my experience. Very poor service—avoid this store.
